Apparently there are two different buttons to modify a post... One Modify in the top bar, and one to the right at the end of the post =) WISIWYG on or off doesn't seem to matter.

Hm...I have a bit of an issue with the unread posts page. I like scrolling through it and clicking on all topics that sound interesting. The problem is that when I go to the second page the topics I have clicked on are removed and the sorting is messed up and I don't know where I am in the list anymore.

Also some mod could merge the two topics on the new Synaptics capactive board ( A tactile keyboard with no mechanical parts ; Synaptics Thintouch)
I had a sig once but it's gone. It used to display an icon of a Kinesis. Just imagine that.

Unlike vB the unread posts page does not get cached and left unchanged until you hit 'Unread' again.  It's a fresh query every time, including when you change pages.  It's a small pain in the butt.  I typically reload the page every few times I hit new topics to deal with this.

I have two issues that I see with posting.

1) Sometimes the editor will shrink the size of the text to 70%.  Not sure exactly what triggers this...sometimes a paste, sometimes deleting a row.

2) Posting of multiple attachments never works for me...I have to post it first, then edit and add attachment.  I can send the error page over if you are not already aware of the issue.

Are any of you guys dealing with the popup to take you to your inbox if there is a new message not working? It shows up but if I click ok it doesn't take me to it. I've tried with pop up blockers off, on multiple oses including my phone and it never works. Honestly I'd prefer if it just directed the browser to it in the same window but that's just me. Sorry if this has been mentoned previously, haven't read the whole thread.

Any chance we'll ever see any of the 11,800 broken attachments come back or are they gone for good?

I could not find the vid you tried to link.  Edit your message above and look at what I did.  Follow my instructions exactly.  Copy the url that is in your browser or use the emailable link.  Paste tha url in your post, don't use the url button, I never said that.

If you look at the source of your post there are url tags inside the youtube tags.  How'd you do that?

I seem to have a "Moderate" drop-down menu, even though I am not a moderator of anything.

3573-0

If I try to click it it gives me an error (obviously because I'm not a mod).

3575-1

Any ideas as to why it is doing this? This has happened to me multiple times now...

We are trying to track this down, it is very rare happening to few people and only exposes the menu.  Anyone else with this issue please toss in a 'me too' so we can have more data to go on.

Somehow I feel the same way... maybe it's just because of my general lack of keyboard knowledge...

I know the basics on pretty much everything, but when it comes down to the really important knowledge I just can't seem to retain all of it... I have to keep looking it up every time someone asks about it.

Maybe that knowledge only comes after spending ALL of your money on keyboards...

Oh, and did I mention I am great at derailing threads?  :-[

Ok, I laughed too hard at that... but on a related note, I once got written up for removing the keycaps from one of those ****ty Apple keyboards in the computer lab at my school. That began my hatred for rubber dome keyboards...

It's some weird transient thing.  SMF renders menus via callbacks, which seem to flake-out sometimes.  It's not obvious why it's happening, but it's been there since the beginning.

At least one other user has posted a new thread in there today (and I replied to it just fine).  It almost seems like some sort of akismet (or similar) plugin going wild and blocking valid content.  Can't see anything in what I posted that should have set off warning bells ... unless the plugin doesn't like left-handed mousers or something ...

I get the emails, but often they don't have the contents of the PM. It has been that way since R00TW0RM.
Reaper "frelled" me... Twice... Did he "frell" you too?... *brohug*
I'm camping for a week, and moving twice in a month. I'll get back to you when I can (If I don't then just send me another PM).

The last page of the GH60 thread has just broken down and returns a 500, after I tried a couple of times (unsuccessfully) to post with an attachment.
The attachment is visible in "my attachments", but "my posts" fails too, just like this single page of the thread, probably because it contains that faulty post.
