It stands for involuntary, but generally, marriage is a very distant concept to any actual incel.
Within incel culture, they're not even close to the requisites for a sustainable modern relationship.
This is not the fault of the incels. Marriage is contractual resource sharing designed to facilitate procreation.
But in modernity, if the net value of children is extracted from the typical family by Capitalists or The State (ruled by capitalists), then Marriage does not make sense economically.
A farmer having more children, is able to profit, only if he gets to keep the labor and fruits of that labor.
In the developed world, the cut off is upper-upper middle class, where the momentum of generational intellect can coalesce in enough (Time-Wealth) for the family to buy back enough value to justify the expense, even then it's unsustainably the case, as you see replacement rates far below 2 even in the richest most socialist countries like Norway (1.7).
Under capitalism, No middle class and below humans can profit from procreation. They're only prolonging wage slavery.
A billionaire orders a mansion to be built, the worker's son is missing a father most of his life because the father has to build such a Big Empty House for the billionaire to spend every 3rd summer in Spain.
So you see, this is entirely the fault of excess and Wage Theft by Capitalists.
Capitalism CREATES the Incels in the same way it creates Prostitutes, Drug addicts, Racists, Illiterate Idiots, Catholics, All poor and stupid people, victims whose stolen time wealth forces them into those roles. .

I don't think it is primarily an economic issue, though that is a part of it. Shifting sociological realities have left both sexes wanting more than what either sex has to offer. Guys have suffered more because women have become more economically secure in recent years. Still, today's women are finding themselves having to date down educationally, which has its own issues. Meanwhile, instead of rising to the occasion, men are anesthetizing themselves with video games and porn.
I'm glad to be from a generation that had fewer options and possibilities. My prayers and best wishes to young people out there.

Incel is an ugly word that can cause men and women who struggle forming romantic relationships to feel even more unwanted and isolated.
Key word is 'Involuntary' it is not their choice. I'm not sympathizing with the weirdos and the ones with horrible viewpoints, but many are just otherwise normal people who for whatever reason cannot make romantic relationships work out no matter how hard they try. There are many more than you think, and being alone all the time is not a fun time.
It isn't a choice.
I am not ashamed to say I am as well. All I've ever wanted in my adult life is a car, a family, and a stable job. For whatever reason, despite my constant work towards achieving those goals, they all seem impossible. What can I do but keep living every day by day hoping things get better. Never once have I blamed anyone other than myself for being single my entire life. It aint ****in' easy, man.

This is all too true, and modern isolationism in the age of the interwebs is making relationships (of all kinds) "IRL" ever more difficult.
