just a little curious why the blue space bar.  looks a little weird to me

Eh, Yah I'm starting to wish I ordered a white mod set instead. I hope in the end there's an option to purchase a white space bar separately, or even receive one as an extra.  ^-^

Yeah I wouldn't mind paying $2-3 for a white spacebar =D

Extra spacebars would be nice without having to buy full sets. Just a thought.

Yeah, in hindsight that would have been a good option.  Perhaps being that it's a standard white color as used on RedAlert and such, perhaps Techkeys or Keypop will stock them one day.  Sorry about that lack of that option!

Might be the wrong profile but WASD sells white spacebars.

I think the profile of the spacebar vs SP caps would be different.

It will be, but by the nature of the space bar it is a variation that anyone can probably live with.  I'm using a OEM space bar with my SP profile keys.  As it turns out, some people do it on purpose because they don't like the "sharp" profile of the SP space.

Yeah, I use whatever space bar I find most comfortable... looking around the room, I don't think any of them match the profile of the keys. :)  The space bar is kind of a unique beast IMO... doesn't need to match.  (And some OEM sets don't IIRC.)

So close to being the perfect white/blue set but I'm not ordering two $42 sets just to get F5-F8 and "`~" + "\|" in the contrasting color I want. I hoped it would be added or tweaked but it never came together. Consider this constructive feedback so more people can participate in the future.

Just a question for clarification:

Are there no legends on the ISO Enter Keys?

They'll be as shown.  I suppose I could add a return symbol to the top of the return key, but other than that they are the same.  Sadly, I only have like 6 ISO sets ordered so far, so they're going to be sold at a loss.

IF the ISO key looks like the one in the Klaxon Group Buy

Show Image

I would place my order now.

I would buy

1x base
1x mods blue
1x mods white
1x ISO

Can you confirm you will put the legend on it?

This is awesome, because now we don't have to wait for invoicing and payments. Orders close, order goes in to SP. SP confirms, and aggiejy pays in full. Great success!

Well, in the case of the plastics company that this (and most) group buy uses, they seem to have a perpetual 5-8 week lead time.  I imagine the actual production doesn't take very long, but they do a lot of stuff.

Good news everyone, the order has been submitted and paid and now is in queue!

Some details about the order can be found in the transparency post (bottom of the 2nd post in this thread).  In short, we got lucky with the pricing estimation... just about a break even! (Shipping and such TBD, but going by estimates.)  The drawback is that in order to meet this, I had to take over sorting/shipping, but not a huge deal.

Timing wasn't perfect with all of the group buys going on at once, but this is a decent turnout and I for one am excited for the keys! :)

One little surprise... after submitting the order, SP updated the pricing a bit and it turns out what they were quoting for my *very* limited alpha set was actually a few dollars more than their previously published prices on the now-defunct custom set ordering page.  Well, they graciously agreed to honor the old prices.  Not only would we have been in the red without that change... it also means you get:

16295-0

instead of

Yes, yes, if you ordered the white mods you already have those extra keys... enjoy the extra space bar on another set or something.  I'm also aware that had some of you known about these extra keys, that may have influenced you to buy a set when you otherwise didn't.  All I can say is that the original pricing calculations didn't work like this... and I couldn't seem to get a lower price for the original set.  So, deal with the extra keys people! :)  If you missed out, Techkeys.us will be selling some later, so sign up for their newsletter.  If you bought a set and don't want it, I'm sure a kind soul here will be happy to buy it from you.  (Just PM the address change.)

Thanks everyone for the support!

She says ~5 weeks in production. :)

PS: Also, I hope you guys enjoy that center-stemmed stepped cap!!! SP missed the fact that it was centered stemmed in their original quote.  Those ended up costing $3-4 EACH depending on the color!

No no, he's just talking about the newsletter email.  There is no order email.  I thought about automatically subscribing everyone who ordered, but thought that might be a bit spammy.  (I'll never post something on email that I don't post here.)
