Just saw, Poisoned - the Dirty Truth About Your Food (2023). Documentary on food contamination.
Forget lettuce, unless you intend to cook it, just don't eat it. It's the equivalent of pulling the grenade pin on an antibiotic resistant bug. 48 hours you're in a coma, if you survive, a couple months later, dialysis and kidney transplant.

Oh man, just checked Tp4's fridge, both leafy (romaine/spring mix) bags bought from costco produced in the Salinas valley, Calif.
Salinas Calif, and Yuma Arizo, are the 2 worst perpetrators of outbreak.

I always rinse all leafy greens myself, leaf-by-leaf.

I always was all leafy greens myself, leaf-by-leaf.
So does Tp4, unfortunately, you can't always get it off by washing. Cooking's the only safe route. Unless you grew it yourself.
