Formed filled out and added my email for more information later.

I LOVE the look of this set.

Having trouble deciding between the light and dark though.

Will have to make a hard choice.

This profile looks good, except for the ISO enter. That’s the only key that looks weird to me.

Here's some better lighting to show off the dish on the ISO enter that didn't come across in the other renders, it keeps the same capsule shape as the rest of the key tops!

Thanks! I also really like both; from the IC form it seems like Dark is slightly more popular, but it's close ✌️

Gotta say, I think the white looks better now that I'm looking again.

Reminds me a lot of this synth. https://teenage.engineering/products/op-1

I don't typically join keyset group buys, most just never appeal to me. This is really only the second time I've gotten this excited about a keyset!

Thank you kema.  The ISO enter keycap looks much better with that capsulated dish.  It looks like i’ll be in it to win it with this set.

You know when you've been looking for the "perfect pr0n movie" for a long time? Well... you don't know what it looks like, but when you'll see it, you'll recognize it.
And here it is.
THAT is the kind of gem I'm talking about.
Original, modern, clean.
Thanks for planning this design, it's amazing, I love it and I'm absolutely in. Good luck!!

This is great! This executes the Dieter Rams aesthetic really well and has the potential to be an instant classic! Hope you will extend kitting. Especially a international kit would be great!

Edit: I like the colour accents very much, btw. And prefer the light kit slightly over the dark.

I get it, yes.  But just to counter argue... I don't think there are many "perfect porn movies" that are "clean."   :p

There is something about this hobby that can easily lead you to blowing your load on crappy stuff that you really don't even like.  I guess it's FOMO.  Take heed, anyone new or old to the hobby.  Did you fall in love with it the second you saw it?  Did you talk yourself into over a few weeks b/c it kept showing up on your feeds?  We have so many options today.  Only buy the perfect stuff.  The stuff that makes you tingle down there.  This one does it for me too.  But then again, I would have to type on it to see if it was truly a good profile.  Even if not ideal for typing, it's beautiful.

Something this new and important deserves to be carefully kitted and worked out, like all the best big sets.  Please don't rush this.  Maybe RAMA would make a new profile for you on this as well.

Really nice! I would vote for a second 2u spacebar, though since its uniform using a 2u shift key would be ok.

Currently working through kit changes after a super busy past week, have fixed and added a few things based on feedback 🙏

Question for Ergo users:
would you prefer a kit with fixed legends that is generally useable (e.g. KAM Little Pilot's ergo kit) or blank keycaps?

Thanks for preparing ergo kit!
I personally prefer legends, either the generic one or something random instead of blanks.

Very much yes.  All kits must be created so that this can become a global giant.  Love all of it.

It depends. I usually prefer blanks (or something non-specific like oblivion), because I don't like my keys to improperly labeled. That is more important for sculpted profiles, though. I much prefer what KAM_superuser's kit is like. There are certain keys that are very difficult to find in 1.5u variants.

This is like a better TeleType Z-Series but with everything I want in contemporary keycaps. PBT. Low profile. Reverse dye-sub. Way better. While I probably won't be jumping in for the inevitable GB, I'm definitely going to be looking at future SLK sets. A lot of designs would really lend themselves to this profile.

EDIT: Nope, couldn't resist. I'd totally switch from my XDA Canvas to this set. The more I look the better it gets.

Quick update on progress:

Kit additions
Yellow Esc accent added (Light Base)
Second 2u spacebar added
HUNT homing keys added
10x1u, 12x1.5u, 4x2u blanks added (Ergo)

Small fixes
Basic ISO in base kit fixed
Ł glyph simplified

As for Int'l layout support, it's unlikely to happen because only 3% of the form responses requested it, and it does require a significant amount of additional keys and time spent reworking part of the design since some keys have 3 legends. If there's dramatically more demand I'm obviously happy to work on it, but otherwise I hope you all can understand 😢

SLK keycap samples
Still in development but refinements to the models are being done to improve the typing experience! I can say that the density/weight is nice and the bottom out sound is definitely satisfying, we'll share more details when the models are finalized and production samples made 🙏

Renders will be updated after changes to keycap models are dialed in

Was definitely expecting a NORDE kit bc of the name.
Does Candykeys know about this set? Or mykeyboard.eu? Anything to make a NORDE kit happen...

I second that :D
Was definitely expecting a NORDE kit bc of the name.
Does Candykeys know about this set? Or mykeyboard.eu? Anything to make a NORDE kit happen...

We haven't started reaching out to vendors yet but will soon. Tell all your NorDe friends to fill out the IC form! Currently only about 3.9% of the nearly 400 responses have requested it which is not a lot 😢

Deep dish/ scooped homing of some sort would be killer. The homing bars look a little strange but nothing terrible (like ePBT scoop+bar bleh)

Not a fan of flat profiles. But I am a fan on how this looks. Maybe this will be the set to get me to keep a flat profile  :thumb:

All I have is the designer's IG and Discord, assuming an IC will happen at some point!

And for everyone interested, here's the updated profile comparison. The new dish is more cuppy and feels like mini arcade buttons! Also typing accuracy is hugely improved ✌️

To elaborate on the changes, the dish is adjusted to be more scooped, ever so slightly smaller, and the lip around the dish has been refined.

The internals have also been updated to have a bit more uniform thickness while maintaining a good clearance from the switch. Regarding the thickness, the design currently maintains a minimum of 1.5mm thickness throughout, with exception of the thinnest parts of the stem, and the extended skirt that dips slightly lower than most other profiles (this part of the skirt is only 1.0mm thick for switch clearance purposes).

These 3D prints are the version we ultimately settled with:

Here's some comparisons to DSA:

Those dishes look comfy. I gave XDA a shot and was not pleased with its might-as-well-not-be-there scoop. Glad this leans more towards DSA's approach. Also, as a hitbox user, I like the idea of the keys feeling like mini arcade buttons.

ITs gunna be hard to pry me away from my growing GMK collection but I cant help being curious about this set. I love how it looks! Reminds me of the buttons on the Teenage Engineering OP1 Synthesizer! Has a little similarity to RAMA's new Kate caps but those are more oval. I think I dig this design better! Nice work!!! I will be watching this!

Why are the edges not square?  It looks like the corners taper.  Is this some 3d printing issue?

Yeah, it's not part of the design - just a 3D printing issue. Some warping existed at the time of printing, but I think a greater amount of it happened over the course of a few days after printing. It's more obvious with some of the longer keys I printed, especially the spacebars. I think this is due to me not fully curing the resin after printing, and maybe being cured less consistently, naturally over time - but not super sure to be honest. Probably would have been a good idea to take pictures after I actually printed them if I knew this.

I'm not really concerned here though, since the 3D printing is really just to test the design, and won't be related to the final production process in any way. Of the ones I printed, I was able to test the design on plenty that didn't have really any noticibly warpage (I printed a full 60% set that was sent to Kema), and I'm planning on having a metal prototype made and tested to be safe.

will you sell blanks?

For blanks that are color matched to Dessau, they will not be sold individually. However, there will be an assortment of blanks in different sizes in the 40%/Ortho/Ergo kit.

If you meant blanks that are unrelated to Dessau - we would like to have these eventually, but no concrete plans yet.

Here's a rendered comparison showing the changes made in the new version of the SLK keycaps. Slightly taller, slightly smaller (and cuppier) dish,
and much more comfy to type on.

And updated kit renders

Yellow esc added to Light Base Kit
Homing '5' added (whoops)
Basic ISO support fixed

Compact Kit

10x1u, 12x1.5u, 4x2u blanks added (Ergo)
Second 2u spacebar added

Misc Kit

'U' 'H' and 'N' 'T' homing keys added
Ł glyph simplified
2x1u Command keys added

Really every aspect of this keycap seems to be sooo well thought of. I already skipped a few groupbuys, since all I want now is this set. Sorry if this was answered somewhere else already but is there a rough estimate? I guess currently FK is handling the MBK groupbuy, but could it be produced after this?
