[GB] FGHTR SWTCH REV. 3 - A fully functioning artisan keycap
« on: Fri, 09 December 2022, 10:05:19 »
THE FGHTR SWTCH REV. 3 IS FINALLY HERE
Channel your inner fighter pilot with this unique and fully functioning artisan keycap! This is a completely overhauled version of the popular Fghtr Swtch REV. 2.

After 6 months of design iterations, including many successes and failures, the FGHTR SWTCH REV. 3 will be entering into the group buy phase! REV. 2 proved to be successful but not without shortcomings, specifically regarding the ability to scale our manufacturing while maintaining a quality product. REV. 2 was 3D printed with a high detail and semi flexible resin, which was our only viable option at the time of designing due to the high tooling costs required for injection molded parts. Between overwhelming requests to bring the product back and the burning desire to improve on the product, we now present REV. 3!

Specs:

Price: $20 USD
Material - POM
Switch compatibility - Cherry MX style switches (BOX EXCLUDED)
PCB compatibility - South facing PCB ONLY
What is included? - Top switch housing, Button, and top "lid"

Group buy purchasing duration:

December 1st 2022 - March 1st 2023

Estimated completion date:

July 24th 2023

International shipping is available!

We are located in the US, but are able to ship to a large majority of countries internationally. Be warned, we do not set the rates for shipping and they may be less than desirable.

2. All funds from purchases of the product above will be held in a secured account and only dispersed once the cost threshold for manufacturing has been crossed.

3. Refunds will not be issued until the end of the group buy (July 24th, 2023), Unless the cost threshold for manufacturing has not been crossed.

4. You are entitled to a FULL REFUND (minus any fees incurred through the payment portal) if the cost threshold for manufacturing has not been crossed by the end of the group buy purchasing duration (March 1st, 2023).

5. The group buy timeline is estimated based on manufacturer lead times and is subject to change.

6. Physical prototypes will not be received until after the purchasing duration, and may differ slightly visually to the renderings presented above.

Final disclaimer:

This is the first group buy we have ever offered. Don't let this scare you though, we are dead serious about what we do and have a solid support team behind the project and have no intentions of providing you with any product less-than-perfect. If we can't deliver on that promise, you will get your money back no questions asked.

GLWGB! :D

Will there be more colour options other than red? I would prefer a silver version too.

Good question! We have talked about offering other colors in the future, however in order to keep the cost of the first round more attainable we have opted to stick with just red for now.

Silver would be cool though!
