I have two of these PBT space bars

One is Red naturally and does not fit ...no matter how many times i have reseated it.

The second was white and was dyed Blue and also does not fit no matter how many times i reseated it

Tried both on two different HHKB did not fit either properly just kept sticking down...finally gave up and they both sit in my drawer now.

highest i saw sell recently was $24

A. I finally got my Red PBT spacebar to fit properly (Thanks again for matt3o for your assistance with that)

B. I grabbed a Red one when i had the chance on Ebay at a VERY cheap price since it fit my other non stock keys color wise perfectly.

The drop says these bars have an improved design that better matches the OEM bars, what exactly is different?  Also damn you for introducing more colors, now I'm tempted to pick those up and then the green/orange modifier kits.

Got some in the first drop and love them. Someone even offered to buy my blue one off me for $35 so I'm glad those desperate people are going to get a chance to stock up on the fine spacebars.

The 'drops' in price and the MOQ make no sense at all. If there 250 white spacebar purchases (which are in pairs, so 500?) get made, I can get green ones for cheaper...? If 1000 total purchases are made (which means pairs, so 2k spacebars are made?!) there's no lower price drop? I feel like they never put a low-low tier on the drops any more from a fear of people committing to that and then having the chance that it doesn't drop. That kinda goes against the ethos of it being a place for people to pool money on-mass to get the lowest prices. They pretty much just put the $16.49 price bracket to give the illusion that you are making some savings. Everyone knows this will easily bust 250 purchases.

I kinda hope for a hidden pricedrop like on the GMK Carbon set (I'm pretty sure the $105 option wasn't there at the beginning), not because I think this is too expensive, but because I want to get 2 sets without having to pay customs

Maybe! I put my order in early, then I get time to cancel it if i change my mind before the end. Thats my tactic to avoid the 'Massdrop R2' disappointment where they split up the drop ship...  )

If you didn't put in any of the new colors there might even be a chance that you get very early shipping, even before the rest is shipped since they still have a few from the first drop. At least that is what happened to me on one of the Gateron switch drops. I did however put in new colors on this drop. I'm so hyped for good quality PBT spacebars as the ones from Aliexpress required some filing of the stem and don't really have the straightest edges.

"True" topre red is the kind of red that can be bought occasionaly on ebay from widebasket, here is a ESC key for example.

Also, he was selling complete UK keysets in red for awhile, but as far as I can see these are not availabile at the moment.

There is also slightly miscoulored kind of red that is sold on elitekeybords, I'm talking about something like this.

Maybe someone else can answer that for you; however, based on the pictures you referred, the difference you mentioned is not clear, you'd better post a side by side comparison instead, under the same light and other optics conditions, then, the difference should be clear.

I have only red ESC so can't make any real comparison, but I remember that people on this forum (maybe in the thread from the first spacebar massdrop) commented about different colors of these two. Caps Lock from elitekeyboards is little brigther than the original topre red, IIRC.

If this red PBT spacebar is color calibrated using aforementioned Caps Lock, that could be a problem, because it won't color fit anywhere else.

It would be great if someone could make direct comparison.
