Pretty quick and dirty, with the black being the legend, something like this?

Why not just print "Super" on it and call it a day?  (yeah, I'm not a Windows fan) but if you have to have a logo, I think the one before that was more attractive... the one like this

[ Attachment Invalid Or Does Not Exist ] 22924

of course, that one is actually on the keyboard that I am using so I guess you can just call me old school now.  (my favorite keyboard doesn't even have those stinkin' Windows/Super keys...)

Actually, you know what I haven't seen, a Superman logo on a Super key...  hey, there's an idea

REALLY Q&D

Strange I didn't see your edit before I posted... anyway I'm obviously down with that. Do it in the same line weight as the shift arrow, would look more consistent than the Cherry originals.

(1) BLACK for me.
Regarding the font - I just got the 99HK cherry 104 set and the font is perfect. You should contact 99HK to find out what font he used in his 100 sets of doubleshots. Regarding the windows keys - leave them as the XP style. Left justified and four squares of white. The "outline" version would not look good or show up well in my opinion, and cost more too. What do the rest of you think about this?

Edit:
cycloverid: So 99HK got those 100 sets directly from cherry corp? I think there should be a vote on the windows logo to keep the majority happy. All I need at the moment from this "Moogle Kit 2" is those 2 windows keys, the menu key, and an unstepped caps lock to finish off my G80-3494.

Ed:  I will be doing my best to match the Cherry keys perfectly.  99.hk is selling official Cherry Keys, not ones produced by Signature Plastics.  We have to work around manufacturing constraints with the windows logo, which is why there are suggestions to change the appearance.  If you look at some of the first round of moogle keys, you will see what we're talking about.

The official Cherry font is custom.  But there are a couple fonts that are very close.  I am a professional artist and I will be doing my very best.  All suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Outline style icon looks fine, like the shift arrow.

N8N I think the Superman key would be fun, but as a single key not part of a Cherry match set. Make it for GB4 I'd get one.

Oh, I know... I was just being silly.

But now that I think about it, it actually makes more sense than a penguin, and has a little more eye-grabbing effect than just the printed word "super"...

Ed:  99.hk  has probably acquired these keys/keyboards from businesses who have stopped using them, or had them in storage.  The windows and menu keys aren't doubleshots on those.

I'm perfectly fine doing a vote, but I'm not so sure how I'd set this up. I've been mocking up some of my own comparisons for logo designs, and the mockup with the outline still looks the most true to the original.

Okay guys, I think I need to cut off the orders now.  Anyone that is marked down on the list with a ?? I will allow to submit their choices still.

I'm going to be ordering a few blank keys from SP to do some color comparisons.

7bit tells me there is only one black option.  I don't have any black doubleshots myself, but does anyone have any pics of a black moogle kit?

I don't really have a problem with the windows key there but the font kind of looks Comic-Sans-ish. That's close enough for me but if you guys are still set on getting it even better in accuracy, that'd be awesome.

I think it's worth the extra $3-4 each for a matching font.  I hope I speak for the majority here.

Calavera, since you posted a couple times, if you want 1 or 2 that's fine.... but I'm going to get overloaded here.

Well, I got an updated quote with the new info.

The bad news is, if you were expecting the price to drop to something like $12, you'll be disappointed.  The legend prices are still variable until I get them done.  We have at least 1 more key than I originally planned and multiple colors.

The final price should fall between $20 to $25.  Closer to $20 I hope.

This was listed as an interest check thread, not a group buy which is why I hadn't looked at it since it was first posted. I was waiting for an actual group buy thread.

I also wanted to wait until everything, including price was actually finalized.

That being said, I still want in for 1x Black and 1x White.

I don't see why you would ignore this thread in the first place just because it didn't explicitly say that orders were being taken. It seems like it would've been a good idea to see what was going on in this thread if you had any interest at all in getting this kit. It's not his fault you got screwed.

It's been 3 days and it was an "interest check." It's really that hard to understand? Calavera just got lucky since he posted earlier.

We should set some group buy forum rules. Deadlines really need to be mandatory.

First draft (v1.1) images based on custom paths:

[ Attachment Invalid Or Does Not Exist ] 23033

I'll have to do some image overlay tests to triple check the width of my paths and make sure the boldness is exact.

I'm going to see if I can use the original windows logo as seen here (with slightly widened bars running through the window shapes).

I hope everything can be done that I want here!

1.)  If I'm really going to be fronting the costs of these keys.... it's a huge financial risk even as it is.  I was going to ask if there was a better way we could handle this.

2.)  I don't have unlimited time to sort caps and orders..  This is less of an issue though, as there will likely be 10 caps per set.

3.)  It would take 100+ orders to really see a huge cost savings.  More orders = more headaches with the sorting.

I was expecting to prepay.  Is that not the standard way group buys are done?

Doesn't seem like getting to 100 orders will be a problem, given the interest in this thread.

Sorting is of course a pain.  But is sorting 100 really that much more of a timesuck than 60?  This is your show of course, but as a participant I would love to hit the next price threshold.  What if you capped it at 100 orders?

This, I was expecting to prepay as well, not put you on the hook to front all the costs.
