Oh well, it doesn't matter much, but the blockers will be good when I want to use some unmodified classic sets without winkeys. The current set is a Dell AT101 set dyed black. Has mild shine on it. I was considering dyeing a mint set I just acquired black, but it's reeeeally hard to find a completely unshined AT101 set, which is already rather rare to begin with, so I'll keep them as is.

It's easy to swap between the two since the board is hotswappable like my Eagle.



And for some GORE:



I had to modify my Duck Blockers because they were not made with Alps plates in mind. Funny, because the Leeku PCB does have mounts for them.

Because I started to hate the default firmware with all the bugs, not working in BIOS, causing crashes and simply having me tied to windows for programming. TMK has a tons of features and it's well worth doing this, if you have the balls to risk bricking the board.
After you make the conversion you can't go back to GON firmware anymore (unless you get his bootloader)

I don't have a gon anymore, but wasn't aware of its limitations. I do enjoy TMK though. Glad to hear it worked out for you.

I soldered on the diodes for my Kinesis Advantage mod. I'm swapping both keywells to Gateron Blues using spare PCBs so I can easily swap back to the original Cherry Browns if desired, along with swapping the thumb clusters with what I'm calling "Ghetto-ron Greens"; left the Cherry brown bases soldered on and swapped the tops/stems for Gateron Blues, and swapped the springs to 80g. I also desoldered two of the thumb switches on the left hand and swapped them out for Cherry Lock switches to use as layer toggles with a layout I'm working on as a long-term ongoing project.





I think I did all right for my first-ever soldering attempt. :D

Decided to bling out the connector on my Alps NCR Leeku 3000 build.





This thing cost me $25 after getting a friend to proxy the connector since I couldn't find a place that sold it in the US.. The entire cable was made from parts I bought from around the web. :)  Not Yarbo

Used some neoprene tube to sleeve the last bit before the cable enters the connector since the opening was a lot bigger than its diameter. Really happy that my idea for solving that worked well. :D
