Communication with Keyboardco?
« on: Fri, 16 September 2011, 06:11:40 »
Is everything OK with the guys (with the stormy weather in British isles and all)? In the beginning of this week I sent an email but now, at the end of it, I still haven't received an answer. Usually their response is very swift...

Nevermind! Bruce got back to me. Apparently the staff is at a show. He's taking care of it no questions asked. Good guys, over there.

Hi Guys
Really sorry, we ARE all still here but it was a little like the Marie Celeste last week with Office 2011 show on and one or two on holiday as well.
I must be honest, I have not been 100% on top of my email for a month or so. If ever there is a worry email helen@ she is covering me a lot.
What was it you wanted to know about?
I'm all yours today, and we have a great photo from the show.

Glad to hear everything is fine, Bruce! The problem that I wrote about in the email is that I tried to place an order for a keyboard, but for some reason it didn't go through - after pressing Purchase I got redirected to a blank page and the credit card used wasn't charged. I rang up the customer service of our bank and they confirmed that there haven't been any charge requests on the card either. So I wanted to know if everything is OK with the back-end of you online shop?

I made an order on Sunday from them and got a confirmation that it got sent out today. I'm guessing it must be something on your end.

Hi iamgk
I think this might be to do with 3D secure. I'm not sure how much it is used outside the UK and if your bank is not using it this sometimes happens.
When it works you are re-directed to the secure server of your bank and asked some extra security questions and on approval you are directed back into our server as 'approved'. It is a very secure system but can hamper overseas if you don't have the same system.
Paypal might be easier.

Hmmm, interesting. I'll look into it and try one more time, but I probably won't use Paypal.

Turns out my bank supports 3D Secure without any problems, it was just that the card used wasn't registered with it. Now that I've done it, the order went through just fine. Now is the toughest part - waiting for the postman to arrive hehe I guess TNT Express shouldn't take too long though.
