Grim Dawn
« on: Thu, 24 April 2014, 14:22:02 »
i bought and played this game a bit last night.  it is a total Diablo clone and it is pretty awesome!  the combat animations are already more fluid than Path of Exile so i have high hopes.

Anyone else try out Grim Dawn yet? what do y'all think?  i am really obsessed with ARPG/Dungeon Crawlers right now.

So they finally have a playable alpha? I've been interested in the game while playing the PoE beta last year. I'm not sure if it's worth $25 in its current state. I do miss the D2 style gameplay and graphics, though.

I've been playing it for the past 7 months or so.  It was very much titan quest at the beginning and now it is showing to be a bit more... still requires a lot of polish and upgrades.

Is this similar to the original NWN?

I played that, plus the expansion packs, several times and loved it!

I tried a few others, including NWN2 and Torchlight, but they had a different feel to them and I've never really gotten into any others.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
