honestly unless it's required, a couple dozen post with the word Paid is pretty pointless.. Could have just said "I'm poorer now but thanks Elton you are the best!"

So I got a silver Viper with SS plate, and I want to make an endgame linear board. Got some of the new Zeal stabs to put on this. What're considered the best Gateron bottoms? milky, black, white (RGB), or clear (Zeal)? The tops? Thinking of using the linear Gateron clear stems. Should I get gold springs or use some 62gs I got from winkeyless.kr? And finally, what lube to use?

Lubing a smooth, linear switch doesn't make sense to me. You voluntarily add a time bomb to your switch. Lube will attract dust and age ...

Gateron browns are prelubed. Zealios too. They don't attract dust anymore than lubed linears because they're all MX style switches with the same plastic housing. Absence of a tactile bump doesnt mean all the dust bunnies are gonna suddenly want it more.

Didn't you know? Their legs are so short that the little hill is tiring, so they tend to look for switches that are easier to get in to.

In my VE.A, I have linear Gateron clears with 62g gold springs lubed with Vitorinox and Krytox. It feels fantastic.

Never heard this was a problem. I found my vintage blacks in my parents basement. Sure it was dusty, but the switches worked perfectly and the housings were super smooth.

Most people that lube their switches are going to take care of their keyboard so I doubt this will be a long term problem.
