Some games were just plain ol hard when you were a kid and as an adult. Looking at you lion King, never made it further than the giraffes.

Yeah I still have the original like 250 songs that I downloaded like 10 years ago. I wish Jagex would actually release the OST though, I have been longing for that for years.

Happens to me with Everquest - played it in middle school growing up and then got caught with the nostalgia bug and Project 1999 - stay away it still hooks you!

I'm considering playing Runescape again actually, but I already have very little free time so perhaps that isn't such a good idea.

I dip into old games periodically and enjoy the experience. I couldn't do it all the time though.

A really good indie title can often be the best of both worlds when you've got a fresh title doing something old games did well. I've been getting my Quake fix via Dusk, Unreal fix via Amid Evil and Destruction Derby fix via Wreckfest.

Not too too old, but definitely been thinking about snagging a GBA to mod & pick up old games I really liked  :)

With the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection now out, you can definitely experience that nostalgia all over again.

Is it worth the cost vs just playing on an emulator  ;D

I'd rather buy an old Android and just emulate it. You don't need much processing power and it's relatively easy to setup.

The music from Hyper Light Drifter is so beautiful and melancholy. Reminds me of the Ninja Gaiden II music which is ingrained in my brain from the endless attempts at beating that game when I was 8 years old.

The only game i ever had any feelings for was mass effect 3, not cuz i didn't play any old school games, i did. It's just that the day b4 me3 release, i put my dog down, and i took a few days off and popped in me3 to "forget".

Minutes into the game
James Vega

James was my dogs name, then i found out he's a playable character.

I swear i must be the only idiot playing ME3 running around w/ James and Garrus

Banjoo and Kazooie for the N64. Listening back to those tracks hit home, Especially Click Clock Wood. Great game and great music.

I'm deeply nostalgic for pinball. Especially the Twilight Zone and Terminator 2 boards.
