[ENDED] [ebay.co.uk] IBM M2, Japanese layout

Not seen one of these before.  https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/183379454129

The same seller has five UK-layout, Greenock-made Model Ms... but at 125 pounds each!

Interesting find.  Oddly enough this looks almost identical to a Japanese Topre I have.

Because, I imagine, both keebs have Japanese layouts. (Funny how that works!)

If they are really selling at that price, I might unload some of mine.  Then again, perhaps I should hold on to them, after I missed out on Bitcoin and all...

Well, those are all ISO (UK) keebs made in Scotland, which I don't think are considered as well-made or desirable by collectors. And the price is ridiculous. Other than that, I'd say go for it!  :?)

I wonder if there's anything special about the UK boards.  I though those were lexmark branded, but I have one that is ibm branded.

In the UK, the IBM-branded, Greenock-manufactured Model M is the most common type.
