Update::
Zomg.. Dis' is the Best Mop EVER..... I can't believe I ever mopped without one..
Tp4 ordered both the O-cedar and the Mopnado..
Def' Recommend the O-cedar..
The spin mechanism is very robust. Gears are nylon and generously THICC..
Never having to wring out a mop again, AND the spin wrings it out much dryer than could be accomplished by hand.. !!
The spin dry method is also gentle on the fiber, it does not damage it as quickly as hand wringing.. so the mop-head should last significantly longer..
The pedal has a good amount of plastic, Overall it doesn't take alot of pressure to engage the spin, as long as you're not going crazy this should support years and years of service..
There is a bit of grease to keep the drive shaft waterproofed against the bucket, do note to keep it fresh once in a while.
If ya'll doin Hard-wood floors, this is great as it can get dryer, so there is hardly any leftover water to seep into the wood cracks.
Def put down a bath mat under the bucket over hardwood, because the bucket doesn't have any soft feet..
The Mopnado spins faster, but the locking mechanism in the handle is crimped steel, and it's quite thin, Overtime with a little water and rust, this part is going to fail, and you will inevitably need a new handle.
The drive gear breaking is irrelevant, You can definitely permanently bolt mod this section..
But why bother, the O-cedar will not have this problem..
