Any chance you could make it PlayStation themed instead? I spent more time with that when I was young.

Love those colors and by what they are inspired, but as many sets nowadays, I am just saddened it is not SA, or any other profile but GMK.

How are the icon modifiers supposed to be aligned? On some renders they seem to be aligned vertically while on some they have alpha alignment

My heart can't take another potential snes set
It doesn't really feel appropriate to be using hiragana sublegends for the snes color that was exclusive to the west

Third times a charm I guess  :p Alternating purple F-row like Oco was planning on doing would be awesome (see here: https://i.imgur.com/46JrYAM.png). I'm not really a fan of the text novelties; I get what you're going for but I feel like something more subtle would look better. Also like someone else said the icon alignment is inconsistent within each render, but I feel like text+icon would look great on this set so you can get more of the light purple. GLWIC!  :thumb:

But why exactly add 10u spacebars?

There's literally not a single modern keyboard that supports those and I doubt people are going to buy this set to put it on an old Wyse keyboard.
Adding that will probably just make the spacebars kit way more expensive and thus make it way harder to reach moq.

Also two base kits -> not going to reach moq either.

Edit:
Also please don't use the standard Cherry/GMK font for the novelties. It looks horrendous.

This just isn't true, the Pandora 60% has 10u support, just as an example. While I somewhat agree with you that the 10u bars will make the kit unnecessarily pricy, they're definitely not obsolete.

Fantastic colorway for SNES!
I would suggest forcing accent on all the enter keys in the 40s kit instead of half of them.

I mean I get what you're going for with the bi-color arrow keys in the novelty  set, but in my mind it'd end up looking janky.  Perhaps I missed it but I didn't see any renders of those on a board?  Want to be open minded but right now my assumption is that on an actual board it wouldn't accomplish the effect of mimicking the old  controller button colors.

are the arrows in the novelty kit by design?

if so, a render showing what they look like on the board would be nice.

Yes. Great. What do you think how many people are really going to use that?

Doubling the price of the spacebars kit and thus risking that it fails moq just to get compatibility with a dumb meme that maybe 2-3 people will use sounds like a totally reasonable thing to do. :thumb:

The upcoming Dino108 also supports a 10u spacebar.

The Dino108 guy is completely new, has two renders and no prototype yet and he's just adding more and more stuff to his design.
It's not going to run anytime soon anyways.

GMK doesn't even have 10u molds.
And making new molds for a borderline obsolete meme is just dumb.

So? What is your point.

3 =/= not a single.

There is evidence that "modern" people/designers are interested in 10u. Demand pushes for production.

I would argue that there are a lot more people that use ISO than people that are actually going to use a 10u spacebar...

I can't imagine the warping that could happen with a 10u spacebar. LOL

Not my prefered "local vendor", but I will definitely buy. Purple and grey go so well together.

Set looks great, but the kit renders are all in oem profile. Those aren't cherry models. You should probably go over that with your renderer.

gmk dualshot had start and select on the control and alt keys, it would make sense to re use those molds right and offer it in base ? i like this, but living in australia we had the pal version so it makes no sense with out the "real" colours.

Re-using the molds would require approval of the dualshot designer because of GMKs policy regarding custom novelty designs.

Base kit looks good, GJ getting proper UK ISO in there.

I'd like to see some renders with the novelty arrows, I like the idea but might look weird in practice.

Macro Kit is great! Thank you SO MUCH for macOS 7u/HHKB support in it.

Spacebar kit needs a "B" key for Alice/Arisu layout since it's not in the base kit. I'd honestly just put it in the base kit if you can so Alive/Arisu users can just use Shift and Num Pad Zero keys for spaces if they only want to buy one kit. That second B needs to be somewhere though.

Also, need to remove the 10u spaces if this is going to be a GMK set as they do not have those moulds.

Looking forward to this set! I love the colors and novelties.

I was earlier quite excited when it was icon-only mods. I don’t quite like the updated icon+text mods. Too cluttered in my view.

There are two types of icon mods - the Dixie centred ones (see modo2), and the OG top aligned ones that Japanese/European boards used to have (see monochrome R2). The alignment also applies to backspace, capslock, arrow keys etc. I prefer the latter as it’s aligned with the legend on the alphas.

I think the addition of a 10u spacebar is a good move, especially since there are keyboards that have 10u support but there’s no GMK 10u spacebar to date. It’s the same as the 3u spacebar. having it in a child kit means whoever who doesn’t want it can do without the kit. I think there will be enough demand, even just for the novelty factor.

So? What is your point.

3 =/= not a single.

There is evidence that "modern" people/designers are interested in 10u. Demand pushes for production.

"Demand"

also known as: "Stupid meme that nobody is going to use"

The same argument can be made with iso

I would argue that there are a lot more people that use ISO than people that are actually going to use a 10u spacebar...

People literally used to use 10u spacebars and still do. Is it that difficult to admit you were short-sighted? Just stop.

Icon + Text mods look amazing on this set, I'll definitely be in for a base kit if you keep it that way! Icon + Text Mods are the best mods.
