The Board

Based on the Bakeneko, much of the original design has been kept. Only changes have been the addition of an internal weight and a slight change in the back profile.

Since the original proto, an engraving has been added, bumpons have also been changed to custom silicone feet.

Layouts

Ciel supports normal 60% ansi as well as tsangan bottom row, split right shift, split backspace, and stepped caps lock.

The plate has been modified so that one should be able to use screw-in stabs, in my testing they have worked although it was a little finicky to get right

Misc

There will be extras going on sale at the time of GB, some of these, but not limited to are

Extra Fr4 plates, hotswap and solder PCBs, 50a and 30a o'rings, and daughterboards.

Colors

Burgundy, Blue Grey, Lilac, Black, E-White

Refer to pictures for colors rather than renders

Specifications

- 6061 Aluminum case
- Internal Brass weight
- 6061 Aluminum plate
- PCB: Hotswap (Solder PCB avail for extras)
- Cost: 180 for all colors except E-White, E-White will be 190
- GB Date: Oct 7-Oct 21
- Unlimited GB
- Lead Time of 3~5 months

I'm not sure that's lavender, looks closer to pink or rose gold.

In-person, it looks a little more purple, def a bit pink. I've shown the sample to some people irl and people have been saying it's purple half the time and pink the other half.

I love this so much, the colors, the weight, and it being a bakeneko. Just everything is no nice. Just wish that beautiful weight was visible on the outside, but either way I'm most likely gonna buy it.

They are not compatible unfortunately, Cannonkeys uses an older version with unikorn mounting points that was taken down due to the mount. Ciel uses the v2 open source mounts.

There are plenty cnc bakenekos in IC right now, this one looks the best imo. From the two blues shown, definitely prefer the darker, square plate one. What is the thickness of the brass internal weight? Don't even care if it's thin, I hope it does improve acoustics. Would be nice if this came with a carrying case too, even for a little higher price. Do you have CK Bakeneko? A typing test comparison would be nice to compare sound differences due to brass weight and newer V2 open-source mounting points.

It's roughly 2.5mm at its thinnest and roughly 6,7 mm at its thickest. I do not have a CK Bakeneko sadly

Thanks for posting the extra photos! Now I see the purple, kinda reminds me of Nike ACG's Atomic Purple/Violet colour.

I'm having a hard time telling what color the burgundy is. Sometimes it looks cranberry to purple, others it looks, well, burgundy. Do you have any color reference (e.g, Pantone) for the color used? Or maybe a photo alongside something that you know to be neutral gray in the frame? A third way would be a photo in sunlight color balanced at 5500 degrees.

I’d look at near lucid’s video, it gives a pretty good color reference imo based off where I’m sitting in front of my monitor
