The company that makes and maintains bootmapper client shut their doors in 2018. The software is no longer supported and can actually only be used under certain licenses, which you can no longer get because of said closure.

With that said QMK is a vey well developed firmware, with great community support and contributions. As of now, a GUI called VIA can be used to configure the keymaps simply. I believe this GUI is a suitable and much more robust replacement for Bootmapper Client. Give it a try when you get the chance!

I also honestly find specifying a keymap in a text file using QMK's documentation much more straightforward than any GUI I've tried. Figuring out how to make a dual-action key is weirdly complex in everything other than QMK -- usually doable, but obtuse.

After flashing it seems like some keypresses intermittently fail to register, only on macOS. Any ideas? This was an issue with the previous firmware as well, but I’m surprised it happens with QMK.

This was my early experience in QMK and i went to the QMK discord and i think merlin actually helped me there. I tried to do a weird tap space hold shift on my old 1/60.

I have a 1/65 now. may re attempt. i find the binding gets ****y when you type fast. so not the best bind.

But i might go back to the mainstream layout life... it's easier to find keysets even with the exponential growth of the GMK keyset production.

Lol some things dont change though, GMK Botanical aftermarket. so hot right now.

Got around to putting mine together. Using Gateron Browns on a PC plate and really enjoying it.

Built mine up with NOS vints on the CF plate with o-ring. Feel blew my expectations away.

Sounds like something that was going on with my PCB which turned out to be borked. I went with the Hiney PCB instead.

Switched to alu plate with vint ergo Clears the other day, need to take some pictures but the alu plate is just as good as the cf. Have a poly plate waiting in the wings next
