you sure youre just not blocking PMs only? it hides posts for me, but it's easy to just click view and they still take up a spot in a thread. i dont think this forum software is advanced enough to actually remove posts tbh

I've never bothered with ignore stuff because I'm worried I'll end up missing half of a conversation. No one annoying enough to ignore stays around for long anyway.

Ignore feature needs to actually do 2 things :
- Hide completely the post and not just put it under a spoiler protection
- Hide when quoted posts of ignored people.
    ^
The second part is tricky, I don't know what you be a good way to implement it.

If this already exists somewhere, then my bad since I'm rather new.  Anyways, what about a section under Home for Q/A?  There could be different sections for questions and answers related to different topics.  Lots of new answers could make it to the wiki as well.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Would it be possible to have a section in the Forum Profile settings page that allows you to see a preview of your profile so those who are using bbcode can edit quicker?

That's a good idea.  I've wanted something like that for awhile.  I'll pass it along to the code wizards.  :thumb:

A good idea, not not as trivial as one would expect. It will have to tied to a web service which reloads the rendered output on textarea change (well actually, after a 10 second timeout after a change).

not sure is this the right thread to post.
I think there should be a a sub forum under the classifields that is specific for artisan keycaps.
Half of every page is full of artisan keycaps sale/trading, and it is quite annoying for people who don't really care about artisan keycaps.

This could potentially be kind of annoying, and it's probably been mentioned in the past (hell, you can probably already do this and I just don't know how), but it would be really cool to be able to "tag" people in a post without having to quote something they wrote.

Unfortunately this wouldn't have any functionality in the web browser (since the various sections to find new posts are all dependent on your having posted there, subscribed, watched, etc).  However, you can tag people with @UserName and they will receive a Tapatalk notification if they're using it.  I know @rowdy uses Tapatalk, for example.  ;)

Ooh, interesting.  Showing under Profile seems a bit unintuitive, but it would work.  :P  It's probably going to be pretty low on the priority, but I'll mention it to the backend guys.

If email notifications take over 2hrs to reach my inbox is that a geekhack issue or a client issue? It seems whatever mail server is being used to push requests is what takes forever. I'd like to request that this not take 2hrs to process.

Maybe upgrade from rant.uhhh.org too :P

When looking at a list of topics, is there some way topics with notify turned on could be highlighted?

Preferably with a different colour font.

This is about logout behavior.  My wife and I both have our own accounts.  We both have our own desktop PC, phones, but we have a shared laptop.  When the wife logs me out on the laptop, it logs me out of both my desktop and my phone.  Is this normal behavior or not?    If this is normal behavior, is there a way to change it so that it only logs you out of that one instance?  Or is this a fault of being logged into Chrome on all three of these machines?

I think this may have to do with being logged in to Chrome (with the same user account). I'll have to test this out when I get home to see if it happens to me, too.

I faced a similar frustration when I logged out on my desktop (Chrome).  It also logged me out on my phone (Safari) and I had issues logging back in - had to delete the cookies/cache.

I assumed that was an isolated incident, but knowing that others are experiencing this I will pass it along to the admins.

I don't have any issues logging back in, and have not tried on any other OS or browser, but I use Chrome on desktop, laptop, and on Android.
