Small nitpick but the blocker size separating the numpad is a bit thinner than the blocker size separating the nav cluster on the other side.Pretty sure that's necessary unless you drop the nav cluster down to 3 tho, no?
Talking about the vertical blocker. Not the top and bottom bezels.Small nitpick but the blocker size separating the numpad is a bit thinner than the blocker size separating the nav cluster on the other side.Pretty sure that's necessary unless you drop the nav cluster down to 3 tho, no?
Yes... That's what I mean. You can't make it the same width or the clusters will no longer be separated. The arrows and nav would be touching.Talking about the vertical blocker. Oh I meant widening the one next to the numpad. I can see the confusion now.Yes... That's what I mean. You can't make it the same width or the clusters will no longer be separated. Interested. Will it use USB Type C?
Very interested. love southpaw. Hopefully this makes it to group buy. A navy one would be awesome.
Yeah missed all that, I need some sleep lol.Interested. Will it use USB Type C?
Case is at 6 degrees, uses a Type-C daughterboard.
Wouldn’t exactly call this a 65% board. More like an 85%. Why put the arrows on the right side and not the left? For spreadsheet work, it’d be nice to have them both on the left
I made a full size with the arrows and numpad on the left. It's difficult to use for modifiers+arrows because you train your left hand to use lctl. rctl and ralt rarely get used so you cross your hands to access the nav cluster. this is the best layout, and it supports iso well which the aegis wasn't suited to.
It’s an extended 65% (I.e., a 65% with numpad).
Left side numpad is great; reversed layout left side numpad is best.
Better to have arrow keys on the right, it would seem to be better for spreadsheet work (navigate with right hand and data entry with left hand). Plus you can always use numlock or layer an arrow cluster onto the numpad if you wanted to use arrow keys on the left.
I will buy buy buy
The only thing keeping this from being my dream MX board is the mirrored numpad. I really hope option for non-mirrored is present.
Also eWhite!
Thanks for putting this out. Very exciting.
Will this be a limited run? In other words, will there by a max number of kits that will be available for purchase?
Don't think mirrored should be that hard to learn since the same keys are hit with the same fingers just on the other hand- also there is an option for a 1x1 numpad which you can swap caps around and QMK to be a non-mirrored 1x1 numpad.
Thank you for the support!

For sure. I actually enjoy learning new layouts. I just think non-mirrored looks a lot better. Of course, do what you and the voters want most. Just wanted my vote in. ^__^
Also, I'd love to see a split spacebar option.
I love the stagger on this, looks super clean :)
Hopped on the canvas because I was interested in southpaw, but this one's layout seems a lil bit neater. I'm into it. Keepin an eye on it
Looks really good, I'm interested but I wanna propose a change: Have you considered leaving some space in the bottom left corner of the main block of keys? A bit like this one, I mean: https://i.imgur.com/cqHsbGs.jpg. To me, it looks slightly unbalanced that the right side has these interesting shapes of free space and the left side just has this thin straight line of free space. I looked at this in KLE and I like it more, visually. It's not symmetrical of course but it looks _more_ symmetrical. Maybe it looks good to you as well?

Really interested by this board ! Keep the left ctrl please, and I really hope for a 0.5u blocker between the numpad and the main cluster.
I like where this is going, but not sold on the case design. Seems a bit too “plain” for a high end board, but could just be me. (talking about the sides)
I need this keyboard so I can make love to this keyboard.

Love the renders! Is your price estimation with or without PCB?
I'll be building a Southpaw Extended in a few days, but super interested in this version. It'd be nice to have for work and one at home so I'm like 99% sure I'll grab one! Any renders of the bottom/brass weight? Curious what that will look like.
This layout is amazing. I am very much interested.
My personal preference would be anodized anthrazite dark grey rather than black but either would be a buy for me.
ISO support is very much appreciated!
Looks great! Definitely interested :)
+1 for a Deep blue/Navy colour, but I'm sold regardless. The 65% + Numpad is exactly what I've been looking for, the fact its a southpaw makes it 100x better!
Any chance of flipping the engraving on the weight so it'd be on the outside of the board?
Saw the discord, but would comment anyway. This is genuinely on my must get list. Please please!!! How are you releasing to GB?
Looks good!! That layout is so nice
Protos look really nice! Excited to see it built
This is my dream work keyboard. 100% buy if there is a Canadian vendor

Estimate hasn't been fully settled yet. But it's being considered with PCB included.

where is the price estimation including PCB? sorry I can't find the number
Love the layout! +1 for e-white :)
Definitely interested. Nice design.
Wow, this is pretty much perfect! Eagerly awaiting GB info.
Looks great! Can't wait for more information about ETA for GP. I really enjoy the spacing for the arrows, along with the southpaw.
Got a rough time line for the reveal, just trying to save up finances for it!
Eagerly awaiting this!
this is beautiful, my work desk is calling for this.
Im interested and excited to follow this into GB
Very nice design :)

Thanks to everyone!
As to a rough timeline, it's still "once second prototype is complete". I am still waiting for PCBs to finish, shipping right now has been hit hard by coronavirus, so there really isn't an ETA on that either. Expect at least two more months before a GB.
+1 for a split space bar design. It’ll definitely add additional functionality (as an option) for users that may use it!

I am thinking about 3/1/3 support. Will get back to everyone on this once PCB arrives and prototype is assembled.

Mystic Works End of August Update
Wyvern Completion:
- I am finalizing case data for a second prototype. Main changes that will need to be made are the mounting for the weight to make it more solid (it flexes a little bit if it , and changes to how the cable is routed inside the case (pending PCB arrival)}
- PCB is complete, QMK/VIA implementations are close to/nearing completion. Maarten tells me that there is one small issue with the PCB but it has already been fixed for production files. I do not think I will be supporting split space bars on either PCB nor plate. I would have to deal with logistically helping people with obtaining new plate files, incorrect plates, and it would add more complexity and room for error on top of the already very complex PCB due to the many numpad options.
- I am ready to build the prototype once PCB arrives.
Timeline Updates:
- Prototypes/PCB are on track for late September GB, but still depends on timing of prototype 2 as well as how early I can send it to someone to build. Expect a GB between September and October. Delivery at the most optimistic will be 3-4 months later, but expect delays as usual. MOQ of 150, limit of 300 ish, although I'm willing to bend on the limits if they really are surpassed.
Logistical Information:
- I will likely take over shipping/fulfillment for all international shipments as well as those heading to the USA. I have a vendor for Canada, but I still need to finalize some things so it's not official yet.
- If you live in a USA state that is NOT CA you will not have to pay taxes, only shipping. People who live in CA will have to pay state/local taxes.
- If you live in an international country, you will have to pay duties/VAT/customs fees yourself. Only the cost of the board needs to be paid to me.
- The reason for this is to simplify my logistics as well as allowing me to ensure the level of QC that I want.
Also, price has been updated; likely will go for $385 + ship/tax/duties (down from 400) for a black unit with any plate; e-white will be a couple dollars on top. Extra plates/PCBs will be available.
As always I apologize for the large delays recently, which has pushed back a groupbuy by two months. Unfortunately, I can't really do anything about it, and I appreciate everyone's patience in allowing me time to get everything finalized and finished. Hopefully, the board will be worth the wait! :)

Nice! Thanks for the update! I'm assuming you're also in CA which is why taxes will be charged if we're in CA. If you were also in the SF Bay Area, could you offer like some sort of pick up option to save on shipping fees and time?
Pulling this from Discord:
"No, because of covid and because of privacy reasons
You'll have to pay for shipping, unfortunately even if you live close to me in the Bay Area."

Yeah, I'd rather not have people showing up at my house to pick up keyboards, due to both covid and privacy reasons. Shipping will be cheaper if you're close by.
Looks great! What's the front height on this?
Very cool to see how close we are to the GB. It's a great board, you should be proud!
The layout looks really interesting to me. Would you consider making PCBs available separately from the case itself?
Quick update: PCBs are shipping, foam samples have arrived. Prototype should be built sometime this week, hopefully! :thumb:

Is the pcb stuck in mail again? This thing is cursed, I swear.
Looking forwards to the complete proto!
We should be on track for a GB launch on 10/31 or so, but might have to push it back another week.

What a beautiful keyboard with a quite affordable price
very interested in trying a southpaw...digging this one
