It's been a while since the Think6.5 GB! Hope you are doing well and staying healthy.

I have started this design last year but was not able to start an IC due to personal reasons. Now things are much better, I now decide to start an interest check for R2 Think6.5 named '2020.' Looks awesome! Do we just reserve our interest here? I'm not seeing a link to any official Google IC Form or anything.

1) Definitely want there to be a Polycarb option!
2) Please also include a PCB that will be both Hotswap AND Underglow compatible
3) Top-Right Badge placement for sure!

Other than that, looks amazing! I'd love to get my hands on this!

Love the nautical theme! (although not really sure how it ties into the R1 Think6.5, or the name, but whatever)

I prefer the top-right badge option for sure.

Will be in 100% if it supports split space, and comes in polycarb!

I prefer the original badge location, but also not a fan of the nautical/anchor/boat theme personally. I like the original theming and branding more personally, it doesn't really match any of that for me sadly.

If it changes I'd be interested in picking one up as a continuation and extension to the V1, but not in current form sadly. Will keep monitoring the thread to see if there's any changes etc

Prefer top-right badge.  R1 badge position yields a "compact fc660" layout (heard it referred to as that at some point), which is far more widespread than the top right badge position.  I'm sure there are others with top-right badges, but only Iron165 and 910 come to mind easily - very good company to be in, design-wise.

I bought R1 and really liked the quality, looks, and feel.  I would probably be in for R2 as well, though the boating theme would make it a hard pass for me.  I don't find that theme appealing at all and don't understand how it fits into this community.

I like the original placement better, makes the Think more unique! I agree with others, I also don’t really like the “2020” text. I like the nautical theme, but would be interested in knowing how it connects to the old “think” theme. I’m excited to see renders of other colours! I really liked the blue from r1, would be cool to see it again in r2.

Thanks for the feedback. There are some stories behind the design, but I will leave that out but just focus on aesthetics now.

Short story is that the design inspiration is definitely related to how this 2020 went down. There are also like 4 other badge designs I will share later, some will relate to "Think"

I like a good story behind a board!

The board looks super nice but I think the badges need to be tweaked.

1. I prefer the top right blocker but don’t really like the boating theme at all. It has nothing to do with the  ‘think’ theme in my opinion. I can see where you’re going with it due to the current worldwide situation, but I think it’s really cheesy and lame. I also don’t like that the badge bleeds over the edges like that.
2. The middle blocker is nice as well, but like others have said, I don’t like the ‘2020’ text on the badge. I think if it said ‘Think’ that would be better.
3. I really like the cutouts on the badges for the LED accents to shine through 

Excited to see more renders and I’ll probably be in on the groupbuy regardless.

I'd like to see a polycarb version and I like the new badge placement but I don't like the huge departure from the first round. Appreciate that the plate is no longer integrated. Will probably be picking this up.

I definitely think that the badge should be on the side and not the corner. To me, it's a completely different board if the badge isn't in that location. So, while I think that some people may enjoy the corner more, if you decide to go with that location, it shouldn't be called the Think.

Also, I have a R1 think, but the anchor design is really cool so I might be interested in R2. Hopefully the run goes a little better than last time though.

This was my first question too, I love all things nautical but what made you choose that over the original think logo design?

IMO the top right badge would be a little more on brand if it fit inside the outline of the frame instead of wrapping around on the corner. Not sure how much more room that would take up, but just my two cents.

Either way, excited for this project as I wasn't around for round one!

I think the new version has lost all of its charm and elegance. The top right logo is overused, the old badge was the only thing that set the Think 6.5 apart from the rest.

I actually like that it wraps around the corner. It's unique and looks nice. If it didn't wrap around the corner, I'd prefer the original placement since that's one of the things that made R1 stand out.
