I'm sure by now many of us have seen thesiscamper's latest creation, the Kira60 case which looks bloody (pun intended) awesome.

I've had a chance to try it and I have to say, the case + those angles at the side might be the best 60% for me, for this year at least.
Anodizing is really smooth, colours look fantastic and the weight is a fresh design. The sides though are really a sight to behold.

That said, I'm partnering with thesiscamper to offer a very small run of these KIRA60 cases.

NO R2. Wrong info on my part thesiscamper has much more up his sleeves and is looking to have different designs if and when we get to another 60% again 

Some info below:

What:

KIRA60 (Comes with case, alu plate and brass weight) The case and brass weight is about 1.75kg, so you can still bring it with you and yet have a solid board to work with.
PCBs that follow the Poker screw layout will work, so that includes bface, GH60 etc.

We will also have extra alu plates available, and these support ISO but it's TBC. You might have to get your own ISO plates. Looking to get poly/brass ones as well.

Colours:

Black, grey, silver, blue (TBC, but probably these are the choices)

When:

We're looking at doing this 2nd week of October, maybe earlier. Thread will be updated ahead of time with more info when we get there.

Where/Who:

I'll handle the buy through monokei's PP business account so that everyone gets the protection they need while there will not be any freezing of fees.
If you don't know thesiscamper by now, you should feel ashamed of yourself 

Price/Shipping (USD):

$250 / set. Probably 20 sets or fewer. PP fees and shipping separate as usual, some rough shipping estimates, I'll try to keep it low.

Estimated shipping cost:
Singapore: $0 (please pop by so that I don't have to lug it around)
Malaysia: $10
Australia: $21
USA: $27
Germany: $31

We will issue shipping invoices separately once we get closer to ship date. Please keep in mind shipping prices might increase or decrease depending on other factors, but I'll be updating via email and GB thread for all these changes.

How to get one:

Raffle, FCFS. I will announce and have the GB thread up ahead of time. At the stroke of midnight Cinderella shall post a Google form link and all you well trained form fillers shall compete.
Or something to that effect.

Digging those angles and chamfers! However, I'd love to see Red to pair it up with Honeywell or another red keyset.

Other than that, I'd love to see a few other plate options as I'm not the biggest fan of Alu plates. Would love to try out Polycarbonate once. Or just go with something that has gained a lot more interest recently such as Brass.

The case is certainly more complex than a case with straight sides, chamfers and fillets, and rectangular weights. Also, low volume, it's easier to handle a small GB for first-timers.

I've asked around what the most popular colors are, and it came down to those four. A poll might be needed.

If your plate is GH60 compliant it should work.

To me the weight seems like only a costly affectation.  It would be nice to imagine some future version without any weight.  I'd be much more likely to go for that.

Yes it is, but that's where prices are trending for really high quality cases with complex designs and brass weights. Fjell for example.

Raffle please, there is no way you'll meet the demand with 20 pieces. It's the fairest way to do it in my opinion. There is no need to compete in filling these dreadful google forms.

The 96-key design has been picked up by Input Club, almost a year ago. They are doing most, if not all the work. My involvement is mostly confirming the design. They are preparing a prototype currently, but still working on their other boards that are under production.

Any updates for the KIRA 96-key will come from Input Club.
