oh no, there is an event tomorrow in LA called ciclavia that im going to. basically the city closes 15 miles of streets for cyclist/skaters/people that want to walk, after that im going to try to do 50 miles with my riding partner. im trying to train for the MS150 later this year. 150 miles in two days!
No, he’s not around. How that sound to ya? Jot it down.

man that's absolutely nothing.

my boss has a friend that just did the mulholland challenge.

16k feet of climbing, 198 miles. he was on his bike from 8am to 8pm.

what i want to do is PEANUTS compared to that. he was on his bike for 12 hrs.

I did a 50 miler with my scout troop once, we did it in 9 or 10 hours, IIRC. Quite a trek, 150 miles is crazy.

which? ciclavia? yes. i havent done the MS150, but my boss did it last year. a really well organized event with check points that have bathrooms, food, ambulance in case something happens. he said the best part was at the end when the families of people with MS are there to see you at the finish line and thank you.

i've done one half century. took me 5 hrs IIRC. everything hurt for the next 3 days lol.

I once did 44 miles on a recumbent bicycle and while I was exhausted at the end my ass was fine.

150 miles on a conventional diamond frame bicycle?  OUCH...

What can we say to Dan that webwit didn't say? Obviously, the natural evolution was bikes.
