Red with white text please!

Sent from my microwave oven using alternating current

Red ABS? It may still be too soon for this...
I have a red/white nuke and I just love it. It matches so many nice keysets

I like the idea of buying just a color of your choosing. I definitely want a set of that silver. Mmm mmm!

If this did get culled this back... I'd say DEFINITELY keep vault 21, keep the Blue/Yellow, and the Red/green poly, but ditch the silver+black. I guess I do see others liking the silver/black... I just don't know how common that is, and I get that maybe that fits the whole vegas chips theme, but it just... doesn't jive with anything else I got. I'm not sure it really honestly pays to split color sets up. If three color sets costs almost the same as the whole batch of four, then it only pays if you want one or two colors. I think the risk there is not meeting MOQ.

I'm definitely in for Row 3... I'm heavily invested in row 3, with my Danger Zone keyboard. In all honesty, I'm starting to really like DSA more and more, ever since getting a DSA-like typewriter from a thrift shop with Marquart switches.

I'm just not sold on the silver/black. Everything else... EPIC!

I like this set and would be in for an SA R1 or R3 set.

I see the vault keys as... I don't know, almost like trophies, to be honest. Just as special as the other designs, like the bombs, the Brotherhood helmet, the Nuka-Cola, etc... Cotta catch 'em all, right!  ;D I don't know off the top of my head just how many vaults have been featured across all the games, but several have been prominent, and I'd love to see them all featured eventually. Each Vault key is representative of a place in the Fallout universe. The unique novelty icons are the fun ones, the cool keys to have... But the Vault keys... They speak to the Fallout story!

For me, I'd rather give up a color set than give up any of the unique symbols depicted on the actual keys, vaults included! :D

I'd also rather pay full price if the choice were everything vs giving up a symbol, if that were a limiting factor. I'll have to think about the survey.

As for DSA... I literally have nothing in DSA, so it's so hard for me to invest in anything DSA. That's compounded by the fact that I only have general need for three keyboards... My Danger Zone key set to go with my Kerbal Space Program instrument panel (and is the keyboard that gets the Fallout themed keys), my Apple //c based wireless keyboard, which I hope to build someday, and the typewriter key caps I got for my 1939 Philco radio cabinet PC case... I'm not one to change up my keyboards. I get something, and then stick with it for a decade and a half, fix it, replace it, cry when it's gone, and build an epic custom keyboard, realizing I never knew how good it could be.

I would DEFINITELY use DSA on the wireless keyboard, if I were doing it from scratch, but I'm not. I have a sweet Alps Amber keyboard out of an Apple //c, and I'm dead set on using those AMAZING Alps switches. If Danger Zone ever re-released in DSA... Eh... I might actually consider buying into DSA, but unless that ever happens no can do. Gotta stick with the SA R3 set!

As for this set of keys in SA R3... Like I said, I'm 120% in!  :p

**EDIT** LOL, I didn't finish refining this before you replied! No problem... I just meant that if Data ever did such a thing, i'd probably be on board, but as you said, I don't actually expect it (not in this decade, for certain). I do love SA, and am fine with my keyboard as it is. It's the distinct lack of anything DSA in my collection that makes me reluctant to invest in DSA novelties, preferring the SA Row 3 that I already am invested in. I just never knew how darned smexy those DSAs could be!

Would be cool...but I have not heard Data mention anything about DSA version. Closest thing would be if I were to make my own DSA Fallout Jumpsuit set, but I would only do a single layout one and done set. But, TBH I really have no desire to run anything but my novelties.

Since there have been those requesting a change for Silver/Black colorway, I have added the following Material Survey Form to OP: Material Survey Form

This questionnaire is ambiguous in its wording and a little confusing. If I'm understanding it correctly, I'd amend the form for clarity's sake:

Quote
I am pondering replacing Metallic Silver/Black ABS with another colorway. If you had a choice, what would colorway would you like to see in its place?
  • Don't remove it! I like the Silver & Black ABS
  • White on Black ABS
  • White ABS on Blue Polycarbonate
  • White ABS on Orange Polycarbonate
  • White ABS on Yellow Polycarbonate
(Remember, when talking about color combos, as in print media, it's Text/Legend color "on" background/surround color, i.e. WoB and BoW)

As a cheapass, I gotta ask. Any chance of a small discount for larger orders since price includes shipping?

Edited the form to state the following: "If you had to choose from the following keycap colorway combos, which would you prefer?"

So, this is what happened with the wording. The title section only gives so many characters that you can see. So, I was writing it in a stream of consciousness style and it was horrible. Since I typed out my thoughts in paragraph format, I gathered the thoughts a little better...sorry for any confusion.

Due to an underwhelming response regarding colorways, as Overseer of this here Vault, make the following proclaimation: Black on Metallic Silver will be the 4th colorway in the Junktown II set. However, I acknowledge that many would like to see colorful PC colors and White on Black. So, may there ever be a next time. Overseer out.

Hopefully there's enough interest for this group to run. Maybe in the future running less caps at a lower cost might be a good idea.

I don't think it should be that much of an issue. Zero's keys are top notch and the Fallout theme attracts a following. The more caps the better. :thumb:

Due to an underwhelming response regarding colorways, as Overseer of this here Vault, make the following proclaimation: Black on Metallic Silver will be the 4th colorway in the Junktown II set. However, I acknowledge that many would like to see colorful PC colors and White on Black. So, may there ever be a next time. Overseer out.

Hopefully there's enough interest for this group to run. Maybe in the future running less caps at a lower cost might be a good idea.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If anyone remembers last time. I started with 12 keys for $40 with some gimmicky pricing discount structure which even confused me. After the first few days, and the first several invoices, I made a change and brought the count to 8 keys for $25. It still did extremely well. I think that 16 different, unique keys for $50 (free US shipping and $10 flat international) would be appealing. To those who would rather break up the set, I say coordinate with other people and split them among yourselves. Become a community of sharing and trading...

Just think, with me a person gets 16 keys, but with Bro Caps, maybe they get one if they win the raffle for a chance to buy one. I am not picking on artisans as I am a fan, only trying to make a point as to the value of a set of rare 00Key 'caps.

Fair warning: I am posting the GB early so that the mods can have time to approve it. So, it may go up earlier than expected or later...really depends on the Mods...
