Inspiration

I wanted to make a 65% for myself to enjoy. However, working on case design while also working a full-time job led to me only being able to sit down and work on the case while completely sleep deprived.
This lust for sleep was the biggest inspiration for the board: cozy, sleepy vibes.



CASE SPECS


- Colors: Black, Blue, E-White, Purple, Wine Red
- Layout: 65% with a top right blocker
- Typing angle: 7°
- Width: 315.75mm
- Height: 18.33mm~ (front), 30.34mm~ (back)
- Weight: Approximately 1.5kg, depending on configuration
- Plate mounting style: Top+leaf spring mount
- Availability: 250 units MAX

WRIST REST SPECS


-Walnut wood with a white enamel infill and a clear varnish finish.
-Still deciding number of units avail for the wrist rest.
-Will be raffle format for this.

Note: Underglow is not supported as all units will be aluminum

The plate and pcb support a fixed layout for simplicity on design.

Anodized Aluminum
Sandblasted Brass
Sandblasted Polycarbonate

Plate files will be released once the GB is completed for anyone who wants other materials, but if you have a burning desire for a specific material -- please fill out the google form.

PROTOTYPES/PRIVATE RUN

The 4th and final run of prototypes are functional! I decided to change the mounting style from top mount to top + leaf spring mount for the internals of the case. The result was the sound profile of top mount with quite a bit of flex at the same time, the spacebar feels really nice.
I also ran a private run with 9 other members in the community, the images below has the lastest prototype (purple) and all the other boards are from the private run.

Timeline

12/05/2020 Update -- It's been 1 day, I've read through a lot of the feedback. I'm taking a look into adding in split backspace support. I still haven't finalized colors, so taking a look into all the options. I'm also exploring into the options of polycarb plates. Thank you for all the feedback and the support you've given me thus far.

12/06/2020 -- I've added splitback backspace support to the Nemui. The PCB, Plate, and Firmware was updated today!

12/14/2020 -- Vendors and pricing announced!

that aside, the board is looking really solid, and the plate and mounting looks good. i do think having split backspace as an option would be nice, but i also understand wanting to keep the plate as fixed as possible.

Will it support Mill-Max 7305?

I am not sure how many people that gets a board would want participate in the raffle for a chance at purchasing the wrist rest.
But I feel it would be super awesome if everybody that manages to get the board could have the option at purchasing one instead of a raffle.

I don't know how difficult it would be logistically.
But getting a limited board is already very stressful and difficult and having to enter a raffle afterwards doesn't feel that good

Thanks for the explanation.
If I am lucky to be able to purchase the keyboard, personally I wouldn't mind waiting several months for the wrist rest after the board is delivered.
But I can understand that you want to sync both together. I just feel it compliments the board so well, that I would be really sad if I can't complete the set.
