It's made by Sharkoon, it's going to be pretty bad and put with stupid, non-needed features, slightly like the '3 clicks in one' button on A4 tech gaming mice. DPI is far too high. Go for something by Microsoft (IME3) (WMO) (IME1.1) if you don't need a top notch gaming mouse.

Actually it's made by A4Tech.

From what I have heared from a couple of people it's a decent mouse with the probably most advanced macro software.

Hmmm... Anytime I hear of a good 7 button mouse, my ears perk up. I don't game anymore, but I have keys mapped to my extra mouse buttons to speed up my workflow when I'm programming and doing graphic design and I need at least five easy to reach buttons for a good setup. It's amazing what being able to hit the "Enter" key on your mouse will do to speed things up. You don't have to take your hand off the mouse to confirm a default option prompt or to save a file download under its default name.

From that angle it looks like it has a similar profile to the Razer Diamondback/Copperhead/etc. series which I like a lot. Where are the buttons located? Where can one get a hold of one of these in the States? I've never heard of the name Sharkoon before.

Maybe it's not so much like the Diamondback series...

It's actually almost the exact same shape as my current mouse, a Razer Imperator except it looks like it might have some more rubberized spots. Curiously, the Imperator has no rubberized grip areas. I grip it just fine without them, but it'd feel nicer if it had some rubber strips for fingertip grip traction.

The Fireglider is a rebranded A4Tech XL-740K, you can even use the A4Tech Drivers.
The X-748K is the optical version.

I guess the A4Techs should be easier to find in the States.

Sorry, the title of this thread and the name of this product sounds like a Star Wars vehicle.  My gut feeling is a single man vehicle somewhere between a speeder bike (on the Forest Moon of Endor in ROTJ) and a STAP (hovering battle droid Segway)

The influence of Ripster is strong in this thread.

So that is why I thought I had seen it before ...

Sharkooooooon. I wonder what that is. A shark that moves as fast as a typhoon? A typhoon of sharks?
And how do you glide on fire?

ive bought the mouse and i gotta say im pretty amazed by it. its very cheap (27€) and performs ultra well. 6 different DPI settings, i really like the 400dpi one.
nice gliding on the mouse pad due to its low traction. it even comes with two extra sets of mouse skates.

my gaming performance has increased from the get-go, no adjusting difficulties.

downside is the thumb buttons which do require some getting used to. their positon is a little high for my taste.

i would definetely recommend the mouse to other gamers.

i remember that. i also remember remember that you got that wrong in the thread some time ago :D

i took it the guy was asking how much the keyboard cost so i answered 20€. i believe you thought i was only gonna spend that much on a keyboard. that wasnt what i meant tho. i just went for the cheap one because it got really good test score on testeo.de and was very cheap. since i needed one desperately, it was perfect. its pretty much the same as my old one but has better quality.

still willing to try mechs tho

hope we get each other now? ;)

wow, last time i visited my hood shops about keyboards they all told me that they had no mechs in stock. when i asked them about the pricing of ordering one, they told me the cheapest one sells for 80€. that being a cherry i wonder why the one you posted is so much cheaper - 50% actually.

ill fetch one of those when i get a chance. that does seem really cheap for a mech

i just tried the software settings for the mouse. its pretty effing good tbh. DPI setting are freely adjustable! you can programme each mouse button except for the DPI button freely on a very advanced, funtional, and intuitive user interface
