I'm thinking about a new mouse at the office. I had been using an MS Natural desktop 7000 combo but I don't like the keyboard and have since moved on to geekhack-like practices so now I'm only using the mouse. The silicone thumb pad is starting to break down and annoy me. I'd like to free myself from this mouse so that someone else at the office can use the keyboard (or the set) if they want.
I like wireless just to keep the desktop clear but it's not absolutely mandatory (and makes selection easier). If it were bluetooth I wouldn't need a separate receiver since my notebook has it built in but I don't know how many full size mice do BT - they all tend to be notebook mini mice.

- don't need gaming grade - don't care about laser v. IR optical v. visible optical
- I use a palm grip - I find the deathadder comfortable but it could even be a little larger/taller

- must work with XP and 7
- if wired, must be USB - no retro PS2 mice
