Lids are in from laser cutting. I will leave the paper film on the lids when shipping out to avoid any scratches and for that nice peel.

Machined case bottoms should be arriving at the bead-blaster here in ATL within the next couple weeks, more to follow.

Maybe! Not really sure yet, I would really prefer to find an outsource to Asia for a larger QTY production run, if there is a demand for it. Also a potential for a very small run of 9x12 (108 slot) case.

Going through all the nylon bolts, as they have a bit of extra nylon thread here and there that I either clipped or shaved off. I imagine over time, the nylon heads will smooth out nicely.

Hi All, quick update. The production machined cases have arrived in good order. After a quick inspection of a few of the cases, everything is looking good.

I'll be dropping these off at the bead blasting shop tomorrow, hoping to have them ready for pick-up mid-next week. More to follow.

How much savings do you think a round 2 produced overseas would have. I really like the screws and other features this case has over the evil box or even my crappy tackle box case.

Great question man!

Once we are through with this group buy I will do a deep dive into outsourcing overseas. I need to determine how much cost I can shave off, reduce the retail price, and hopefully garner a larger amount of interest to get a good run size going. More to follow for sure!

No lie I'm sad I sat out on this one as well, still followed the thread but I was all like ahhh well I got the evil box an the ano'd alu box... The more I see this one the more I absolutely need it .. Beautiful design Hayt. keep it up! (Make a keyset one too if you manage to source thru cn)
