Still like this set, but after a second glance I think the F row accents look weird without matching mods. Maybe it's just because that's how it's normally done, but seems like an odd choice. And Alpha/Mod font color should be the same IMHO

#1, but would prefer the text on the teal caps to be CR or N9 (preferably CR). Just sold my Sky Dolch set because the luminosity contrast between the UN6037 legends on CC background was straining my eyes when I looked down at my keyboard.

Personally I prefer #3 and #1, and the reason behind is that I really like the subtle difference between alphas and modifiers.
To choose between the two, I think I lean toward #3 over #1.

brief WIP on mobile:

been on holiday for the last 2 weeks so haven't had a chance to work on this too much. I'm considering running this through MD/somewhere else that supports a larger amount of kits rather than just base set + extras, because that will allow people to choose between teal/blue alphas legends, and icon/text mods. Also looking to include an "accent rgb kit" with teal, muted blue (seen above) and also potentially red highlights. thanks for all the great feedback everyone! :)

I like 1, but would prefer the alpha & mod colour scheme swapped. I generally prefer lighter alphas - it's because of this that I'm not a fan of Calm Depths.

Quick update since I haven't said anything for ages - been talking to GMK about icon mods, want to try to use existing moulds so the price is not prohibitively expensive. Furthermore, there's so many GMK sets running at the moment, so don't hold your breath for this. It is going to happen, potentially in late Q4 - I am continuing to work on renders in the meantime.

In terms of colorway, mono navy was by the most popular choice, with people split between teal green and muted blue alphas. Here's a below-average render I did awhile ago, lots of imperfections but it should give you a general idea of how it will look on a board :)



Finally, a poll if you're interested in updates and also to vote for teal green or muted blue alphas :) Don't worry about accent colors, I am likely going to do include both teal green AND muted blue accents :)

Almost forgot about this. Does remind me a bit of Calm Depths but in a good way. Will definitely get a set myself. I'd suggest making it a bit sooner than Q4 which is when our big dog carbon is going to drop and I can't imagine any person in their right mind would want to compete with carbon . Also any chance of including a spacebar kit for split space users?

Spacebar kit will be a thing for sure. I don't want to do too many kits though, so potentially something similar to Mod Dolch. Re timing: it may be sooner rather than later, just when I find the time :P

Project is not dead though, I'd still like to go through with this eventually but the saturation of GMK ICs is insane and we don't help each other if all the sets are run at the same time - especially with the custom colour MOQ.

Calm Depths is way overrated. The gray mods are terrible. This set, however, looks great.

You should put a stake in the ground now and set a time frame for GB launch. This way, other designers can work around your schedule.

I'm glad this set doesn't clutter up the alphas with secondary legends. This set is more appealing to me than calm depths or striker, and I will join GB when it launches.
