Long time lurker, first time poster
« on: Mon, 02 March 2015, 23:30:36 »
Hello!

I've been lurking around for a long time and decided it's time to say hi, and introduce my collection.

  • 1986 Model M
  • Two broken Unicomps (busted left ctrls)
  • Two HHKBs -- one type s and one pro. These are my current favorites.
  • Two Filco Majestouch Browns -- one with the Dolch keyset, and another with the pulse.
  • A Das with blues that will soon have the deep space keyset -- technically my wife's keyboard.
  • A matias tactile pro.
  • WASD Code with clears.

Welcome to the forum! That's quite a collection you've got there by the way.
I need more keyboards to hold all of these keycaps.

Yeah, I'm scaling it down. I'm going to sell the Code with clears, as I found that clears aren't really my thing. (Neat feel, but I can't type fast without causing forearm pain for a prolonged period of time.)

Welcome to Geekhack!

Fantastic collection!  And a good range of switches too :)

And a nice selection of keycap sets - you seem to know what you are doing!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
