Oh man, has one ever even been on the aftermarket publicly? I guess it's actually reasonable to get a keyboard custom lacquered for that price.

Maybe I'm being too hopeful here, but some times with high end parts, refurbished parts (imagine someone scratches it, but doesn't want to pay for the quoted repair costs) or overstock (I doubt they sold the -iirc- 4000 of them that were supposed to be released) stay with the OEM. You can actually strike it lucky by contacting Topre directly and asking them to buy one.

There were only 100 made in total. I believe they mostly went to employees. The retail price was around $4000 +

I would imagine that if anyone planned to give one up, they might not go for retail

Clearly the play here is:

1. Get job at Topre Corp
2. Get into the inner circle there, and plant the idea for a re-run
3. ? ? ?
4. Profit

 :p

Also, lovely board and pics. The red plate is my favorite part of that build.

Korean pcb so shhhh

Finally finished one of my long term projects that I took way too long to finish but worked very hard on. I'm terrible at photography, sorry for the mismatched mouse LED and cables and overall messy living space, hope you enjoy the board. I present to you, Yui:

The in-switch LEDs are UV. I'm not sure how much I like them. I wanted F and J to be white like Unit 01's eyes but ended up going with orange because I didn't have any white LEDs. Considered doing purple underglow and green in-switch but not sure how it would look. They're sip socketed though so whenever I'm not too lazy I can give it a try. Also the green underglow is not accurate at all, there's a tiny bit more yellow to it IRL and a bit more of a neon green shade closer to how it is in the original anime.

Looks like **** in photos tbh I promise it's nice irl :D not so nice to type on cuz SA ****ING SUCKS

Yea the UV isnt Purple enough, underglow will probably get the more correct purple you are after. I do like the orange it pops out more than what white would. 01's eyes are both yellow and white so maybe try yellow, either way she also has orange on her neck so its not out of the color pallet.

Lustro Right?

I had the same thing with my Weaven. UV-Leds are practically invisible.
I'll probably replace them with orange leds at some point.

Yeah, unfortunately UV LEDs have always appeared underwhelming to me, which is a shame since purple is a great color. That and the possibility of it causing yellowing to ABS caps doesn't make it so hot on my list.

Looks like **** in photos tbh I promise it's nice irl :D not so nice to type on cuz SA ****ING SUCKS

hey uh real nice board there

so you wanna trade some of those old blue artisans for some shiny new green and purple artisans?

artisans for SA? LUL

Lustro Right?

I had the same thing with my Weaven. UV-Leds are practically invisible.
I'll probably replace them with orange leds at some point.

yep lustro, the biggest issue was that the standoffs were milled from the acrylic base and all stripped but thanks to TalkingTrees I was able to come up with a solution and melt in some brass standoffs. they're not perfectly flush but I can mount the board now! I will probably end up putting all green in-switch and do a purple underglow but I don't think it would look as nice tbh

Yeah, unfortunately UV LEDs have always appeared underwhelming to me, which is a shame since purple is a great color. That and the possibility of it causing yellowing to ABS caps doesn't make it so hot on my list.

thankfully yellowing the underside of my purple SA caps isn't a big concern ^^ but yeah they're pretty underwhelming, but in real life it's a very nice subtle purple back glow that doesn't look too bad

you should get white LED with that purple film cover that changes the color.  probably work better

genius dude
