British custom with Korean PCB.

A bit of backstory of how I finally fixed the stripped screw: search for a local handyman on Yelp.

And how he fix it: use a drill to slowly strip away the head of the screw piece by piece. Took one minute.

Beautiful. Glad you got the stripped screw sorted. I just received the acrylic plates for my X60 and will be rebuilding this weekend.

Thanks! Look forward to your build. It's nice to be able to see the PCB  ^-^

The X60 GB thread has been locked but I still want to say thank you here to all the people who helped me on this.

Perhaps one of the boards I like the most. Not as brutal on the incline as the other models by this keyboard designer, but the layout and the design was always captivating to me. Certainly not as smooth as Khylnn's X60's anodization!

I heard on TopClack that you should use the Blacks first before lubing. That way they kinda get less scratchy first without the lubricant. I have no scientific way to confirm this but I didn’t follow the order and they seem a little scratchy. Time will tell I guess. My JD45 with exactly the same lubed switches is silk smooth after more than a year of use.

I suppose it's not a bad suggestion, but I don't necessarily want to disassemble just to lube when I could have done it to begin with.

Very cool, I've not heard of this before. Have you tried it on sand-blasted brass? Does it retain the matte look and texture?

I've been hesitant about using coatings like this because my understanding is they can be very difficult to remove if you don't like the results. But I'd prefer something like this over an iPad screen protector or simply letting it tarnish.

sandblasted brass tarnishes, just not as quickly as polished brass

I believe it is fairly easy to remove. Haven't tried it myself, but they have some solvents and instructions on their website. There is also a satin finish, and it sounds like they will custom mix it if you want something more matte.

Nice one! Intensely red, that's quite rare.

But... how can you live without windows keys? What remapping do you use?

Another thing.... when pressing those 1.5 modifier keys, do you feel like the coud need some stabilization or not?

Living without windows keys isn't as bad as you thought actually.
I usually remap the windows key to the right ALT on my 360 as well as my other WKL kustoms (right ALT key is that key I rarely or never use :))).

Personally, I think it's totally fine without a stabilizer even it might wobble a little more than other keys.
