I designed it and had it machined from polycarbonate and aluminum (and brass, not pictured) to match the keyboard.

It only took a year or so, but I finished rebuilding my VE.A with the proper switches it deserves!

This is my first time trying SA since besides my Dolch Pac, it's my only MX keyboard. Coming from GMK, I didn't think I would really care for the profile but it has really grown on me! I still might throw Solarized Dark on here once that arrives.

Specs:
•Holtites installed for switches only
•Krytox lubed and stickered PCB mount vintage blacks from a busted up eBay NCR G80-0427. None of the mold numberings exceed 20.
•Gateron blacks on the macros, vintage grey for the spacebar.
•Springs swapped with Victorinox lubed SPRiT 63.5g 24k gold springs.
•GMK screw-in stabs with WYSE (pre-clipped) plate mounted inserts. Gold plated screws and wires.
•Black 3M Vinyl applied where the white pcb is exposed and as landing pads for stabilizers.
•Spacebars sourced from a 1976 grab-bag in order to match the Chocolatier alphas.
•SIP sockets paired with the color change lock LEDs
•Wenge wrist rests from Alienman's groupbuy.

I also posted in the VE.A thread, please don't hate me for the keycaps and sub-par photography!
I've come to view humanity as predominantly monkey business.

Very nice build -- definitely can tell you put lots of planning and effort into this one. Do you happen to have a build log? I'm particularly interested in this step: "Black 3M Vinyl applied where the white pcb is exposed and as landing pads for stabilizers."

Sounds like the bandaid mod (although a newer version is to use vinyl). It's putting something between the stabilizer and PCB so it makes it quieter if the stabilizer hits the PCB on the downstroke.

It be nice if someone started making pre-cut vinyl stickers to fit where the stabilizers go. Like switch stickers but for stabilizers.

Strange holes in the side of the top piece. IMO the thickness doesn't work at this form factor.

The holes are for the ano hooks. The keyboard is not that thick in real like 25mm front 35mm back 9 degrees angle. I will make a full review.
As a long time 60% user I can say it's just right for me.

Seems like an odd place for anodizing hooks.

I meant the bezel width, but holy **** that's tall :))
