(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

my ISP hosts the speedtest.net server.

But realistically my router is limiting me to ~700mbit down, RIP WAN to LAN speeds ;___;

Not sure what my wi-fi speeds are on average. Wired, I'm getting about 100-105 Mb down.
My roommates and I split the Comcast bill, which is $90-ish a month.

Non Canon..

and even then in canon... There's now Beerus who is a 10 vs SSJ-Godmode Goku who's a 6 vs Whis who's 15...

All power levels exceed measurement and cannot be perceived by non-godmode characters..

So you see,  They're essentially part of the Magical universe, and while we perceive that they interact with the natural universe... THey do not..   whenever they're close or moving in their own dimension, Our dimension is merely giving way and shifting to the side...

But there's perceptible effect... So we can conclude that they do in fact exist.

And powers are relative, so if we designate a certain level of power to have a certain number attached, we can apply factors of that number to other beings power, assuming we can sense the relative difference in power. If not, the actual numbers are totally meaningless, except for knowing who's more powerful than who in a general sense.

I don't miss the speed I used to have when living in South Africa... It was... painful. And expensive.

No, the perceptible changes in our universe can not be assumed to correlate with static levels rating system.. because these are magical forces.  It could in fact have non linear or even irrational propagation.

All perceptible changes in our universe are then Equally unmeasurable because it does not function as opposite the changes in the Magical universe, it has intersected, but we simply can not know if the universe actually converged or if equivalent exchange is enforced.

Hmmm, true. We don't know quite what percentage of the actual power has leaked through.  But we can measure how much of it has by how much they can affect things in the real universe, so in effect that's how powerful they ARE to us, since we can't detect (and don't care about) how much they have in the non-detectable realm. So it still has some meaning to us.

Anyway, if you're taking a jab at my views, perhaps we should keep it in the relevant thread?

I remember my 9600 baud modem and then later on my 28 800 baud modem and then my first 64K line so I'm not going to complain too much...

I've got a problem here in my appt: I'm supposed to get 30 Mbit/s d/l but there are issues and so the connection downgrades to 9 Mbit/s. Not to mention that when the TV is on it's more like 6 Mbit/s or something. Add my girlfriend listening to some Internet radio all day long from her desk and using a "log me in" session to a computer at work and I really don't have much left when she's working from home.

But man, it does still beat that 9600 baud modem by a fair margin : )

Using the new speedtest.net, upload is a little low but I'm comfortable with my internet for now. Surprised it chose the Butler server or Pittsburgh's.

Needless to say, I am very happy right now.

Getting this over Wifi at the moment, pretty good for Australia, this is fibre by the way. If I plug in an ethernet cable the I get about 96dl.
