Tried really hard to like it. The music is great but the lyrics (at least on Woods 4 and 5) are comically bad, IMO  :(

Mariner - Cult of Luna

https://play.google.com/music/m/Bxjrvroqyrnqd22n2caj6jg4hpm?t=Mariner_-_Cult_of_Luna

One my favorite bands. Interesting release.

Quote
Mariner is a collaborative studio album between the Swedish band Cult of Luna and the American vocalist Julie Christmas, formerly of the bands Made Out of Babies and Battle of Mice. Serving as Cult of Luna's seventh studio album and the first time Christmas has appeared on the entirety of a full-length album since her 2010 solo debut The Bad Wife, Mariner will be released on April 8, 2016 through Indie Recordings. Contrasting the industrial city themes of Cult of Luna's last studio efforts, Vertikal and Vertikal II from 2013, Mariner focuses its concept on space exploration.

I love the artwork from Heavy Metal. I watched HM2000 but it wasn't the same for me tbh

I agree, though it was a lot easier story line to follow.

You lucky bastard. I've heard they are amazing live. If it was 2009 you might have heard them play this song? Probably one of my favorite songs regardless even outside of metal.

Nice! I heard they were back doing some touring. Nice to know they have an album coming. I remember listening to The Healing Process and The Ills of Modern Man a lot when I was in high school.

I'm liking the teaser.

It's too bright and sunny outside.  How am I supposed to stay pale like this?

After seeing your post, I listened to four albums straight by this band while building a board on Friday night. Good stuff  :thumb:

anybody here into power metal?

I used to be pretty into power metal when me and my buddies all played WoW and other MMOs, something about it goes quite well with MMOs.

When is the last time you thought about how lame you were in high school?  Remember that one thing that you are sure that everyone still remembers and talks about behind your back?  Wow, those are some painful memories.  You probably shouldn't think about those things.  No one remembers, because no one thinks about you anymore.  They have all moved on.  Why can't you?  Is there something wrong with you?  Look at how easily you slip back into the despair of who you once were.

Enjoy your suffering.  I love you all.
