"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I have extracted all the pixel images (or like 99% of them), and have them in a folder now. I can make them in a zip, and call that the end of it, or spend hours trying to sort them. If anyone wants to help sort all the pixel images into folders by the keyboard, I can add you to a google drive folder and we can start to organize them there. If you want to help, PM me your gmail and I will invite you. I also have accidentally grabbed some actual pictures, and keycap mockups, as well as some duplicates and small modifications, and a lot of plates for some reason.

I use GIMP, although any graphics editing application (preferably one with a good zoom function) should suffice.

I have a couple of requests.

Focus FK-9000

NMB RT8255CW+ with "Erase Eaze" (the split spacebar).  This one should be whiter than the below keyboard, these images don't show the true colours of these boards well.

Everex keyboard.  Pretty much the same as the above NMB keyboard but slightly yellower (this picture does not show it well) and no split space.

Also have a question, what software do folks use to make these little graphics?  GIMP or equivalent?

Just realized all I had to do is erase the numpad to make a TKL

Here are mine:

Ducky Shine 3 w/ Vortex Backlit Doubleshot PBTs

Noppoo EC108-Pro

I made these two boards based on existing artwork from this thread. The Shine 3 is based on someone else's Shine 3 but I changed the keycaps color to match mine. For the Noppoo, I grabbed the OP's artwork for the Filco Full White and just tweaked it a bit.

Since I'm on a Chromebook right now I don't have access to most of the graphics software recommended in this thread, so I used Pixlr. I recommend using the Brush tool at size 1 with a hardness of 100.

Once I added them to my signature I noticed they're a little blurry on my retina display (it's a Chromebook Pixel), so I wanted to make @2x versions. Pixlr doesn't let you turn off smooth scaling so I found another online image editor called Sumo Paint that lets you upscale with smoothing turned off.

I think most people just find an existing picture that is close, and change the colours as required.

Unless you need a different colour?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

This thread is great. I just spent a few hours modifying some of the existing designs and even creating a few new ones. A cute pink Filco Tenkeyless and a TG3 with trackpad.

Does anyone still have this image of the TG3 w/ trackpad? It seems to have been lost in time.

bump from way back, would love one of these, if someone has it ferreted away somewhere or someone sees another member using it as a sig...

I wasn't sure if it was already available, but I modified one of OP's keyboard (a Filco, I believe) to recreate my Ducky Shine Mini with white blank keycaps and animate the wave lighting mode.

Feel free to use it, friends.

Would you have a video of the effect? Maybe I can help with it!

No, the board doesn't have an effect on it's own. I just really liked your animated version and was wanting one where the backlighting switches on and off or between full backlight and WASD lights.
