Okay, this is AWESOME. Really nice work on that build, I think this is the first time I've seen someone smash a modern computer into a Dolch PAC. Do you foresee yourself using the computer in a semi-mobile fashion? Would make a really great LAN party machine.
Yes, being able to change video cards or processors at will makes this build very versatile. This is perfect for Lan Parties, as well as hooking it up to Your HD tv for gaming or a VR google set. Its' compact and you can still enjoy the feel of a mechanical keyboard in a vintage machine that You can use every day.
Using a stripped off Dolch keyboard is not the same experience as using it on the original chassis!
very cool, im sure that took some time.
It took 6 months more or less with most of the time spent studing pictures and diagrams of the new parts against the chassis non standard dimensions.
Every new part I tried to fit, I had new mechanical interference problems to solve and, using mostly special parts, I also had to wait for them to go back an forth from China, US, Germany and so forth.
Some parts had to be hand made such as the lcd fixing brackets for example, but there is nothing that and average skilled builder can't make in this build.
It's just a matter of having a lot of patience.
