I've become a lot less active as of late, and I do apologize for that, however this is still in progress and nearly ready.
For the most part, I could have this set rolled out within the next few days, however, I have chosen to wait longer and re-review the colour choices to ensure that there aren't any regrets for the final product.
From looking at various different renders of what the set would look like, I have decided to test out a different colour for the mod. I realise there may not be enough contrast between the alphas and mods which give off a "washed-out" appearance. By using darker coloured mods I hope that each of the colours in the set will be able to stand out more.
After I receive a render with the new mod colour, I will compare the two and choose which of them I like better.
Hopefully, this can be started within the next 2-3 weeks. Thank you all for your patience and support!

Why only the ergokit has all row3 but no “all row3” alpha to match this?

Since Ergodox kits are typically low in demand, using uniform row 3 mods for the set will bring down the cost a great deal.
In all honesty, it doesn't actually look terrible as I've seen with other sets which do the same thing.

It's not good to use a alpha kit with various profile for different rows, and a all row 3 profile ergodox kit.

The usual sold number of MD SA keycap set show that there are hundreds sold in each GB. I guess it's similar for this RetroBlight keycap set. It should still roll out the ergodox kit to be various profile to match the alpha kit. As for the cost, it should come after the fitness/compleion of the kits. I don't think the cost would be a major issue in this case. Since so many keycap GBs did well in sold number, even though the costs came high.

So nice to hear that the GB is about to start. Finally after waiting for years. Badly need this keycap set and all the keycaps to cover my keyboards.

Please update all the final layouts of all kits, and make these render pictures. I need a R1 1u backslash, a R2 1.5u backspace to cover my HHKB layout. We had been discussed this requirement on the MD poll page. I got your response to add them. But I don't see any update to the layout picture yet.

If it launched today it could be shipped by September 2018! Not sarcastic - just seems like a good time to receive a delivery. The colours are a bit autumny as well...

What font was used for the lettering? I'm not sure think I'd like to find a set of keys using Microgramma font. I also like the symbols on the fronts of these keys (picture below), though I guess that's not practical to reproduce:

This is beautiful. Appreciate the 1.5u meta/super too ;-)
It's missing a R2 backspace key, which might have put people off, but for me this set would be going onto my cream filco tkl anyhoo.
Is there a sign-up list where I'll be notified when it goes live?

Still keen.
Model M Industrial, SSK, Unicomp 104, Code TKL MX Green, FC660M MX Green + Clear + White + Grey, FC660C Topre 45g, MagicForce 68 USB and Bluetooth, Whitefox, some optical switch 65% Bluetooth split spacebar thing ... wait, I think I need an intervention. Too late, there’s a couple of new Model Fs on the way.
Too much SA is never enough.

With all those keys, especially the relegendables, this would be a sweet set for the GH-122 I'm hoping to build.

I think it's a nice keyset and the best option would be that OP carries on it. If there is anything I could do for it, I'm happy to help. I sent a message to OP asking for the status but got no response yet.

Just to be clear, that is not an official status update from anyone involved in the set - just my very neutral way of at least not getting people's hopes up.  I can only hope it's still planned and on hold!  ;)
