I believe Snowdog is trying to adhere to one of the rules saying it has to be posted somewhere else in the calendar month in order to then be posted in the nomination thread ;)

Official nomination thread will go up on Boxing Day (December 26th) in the KOTM subforum.

Well I think part of the benefits of the KOTM nominations is so that other people remember boards they liked from other parts of the forum, and I think if you put everyone in a thread, before the real thread it detracts from the process and defeats the object of having a dedicated sub forum.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that there are those that probably haven't even seen your subforum at all. I brought a lot more attention here than there.
