These are quite cool, even though they're RD. (Being IBM, they're the best RDs you can find.)

They're quite close in appearance to the Model F p/n 1387033 (buckling spring), but not exactly. Hence they're unique in the IBM keeb canon.

The price on this one seems somewhat steep. A couple have [urlhttps://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=ibm+73X3860+&_sacat=0&LH_Sold=1]recently gone for considerably less[/url]. If I were interested in this, I'd point that out to this seller and ask them to consider adding the "Make an Offer" option.

The rubber domes on this are better than the Model M Quiet Touch?

I have one of these and I would say the rubber domes on this are pretty bad. They are Micro Switch ST series rubber dome.

Huh, that's odd... I have one and it's just fine. And the form factor's certainly an eye-catcher. Well, I suppose it depends on how much you plan to actually type on it.

Like all keyboards it comes down to opinion. I suppose my opinion of this keyboard is skewed by my general dislike for the tactile feeling of rubber domes in general and the place this keyboard holds in relation to great IBM boards usually discussed here. It is a very nice looking keyboard but I think anyone paying the current prices for these will be disappointed.
