Hello I'm from Los Angeles
« on: Thu, 18 October 2018, 16:21:13 »
I'm from Los Angeles, username is bhl88, attempting to fix my keyboard. I found people who sell keyboards here but is it possible to be able to fix a keyboard (whoever is close by)?

Welcome :)

There's a handful of users there, I'm sure you'll be able to find someone to fix your board.

Keyboards: HHKB Pro 1 & OTD 356CL Dark Greyhat Edition, baybee!

I wanna know (in the event that Fry's cannot help).

My keyboard keeps sparking (not from heating.... they say that it's electrical, so I'm wondering if the assembly is correct)

Though I may need help on looking for a strong fan, the Noctua (37mm) doesn't fit in the Commodore.

According to the Fry's technician who's working on my computer, when he plugs a USB keyboard (but not the main keyboard), it works but when he plugs the main one, it doesn't work.

Said something about sparking, maybe I'll have him clarify it.

Main keyboard is the Commodore 64x.

I see, you're sort of in a strange situation where your keyboard is pretty unique (I didn't know this was a thing before I saw your pcpartpicker) How does the built in keyboard plug into your computer?

TG3 says it's a USB keyboard. I guess it's a pin-type.
