Sweatpants should only be worn in private or when doing exercise or sports. Otherwise you are sending the wrong signals.
Also, if you are standing around waiting, smoking and have a certain look in your eye like you just don't care.

hmmm sweatpants are generally used to conceal something or other.
You are either a fitness person mid-workout, a fat person who's given up, a college student who stayed up all night, a drug dealer, or it's laundry day in which case why are you out of the house.
Legit, idk why else you'd wear sweatpants in public.

I have this happen quite a bit as well. Always at gigs where I'm either a lot older, or a lot younger than everybody else. Maybe it's to do with people getting married and having children but I find raves/festivals these days are full of 18 year olds or 40 year olds and very few people in between.
