No, it’s mentioned in the OP that hotswap won’t be an option.

We can always mill-max the boards to make them hotswap (:

If you do include a 6U stab wire, something that works with the zeal/everglide/durock stabs would be ideal.  Certainly would push me into the 6U layout camp.

A 6u stab wire works just like a 6.25u/7u in any cherry/MX stab. It's just of a different length.

Gok said he was trying to go for an unlimited GB a few pages ago. I think I asked that earlier as well. :p

The vendors have been chosen but we don't know exactly when the GB will start. All we know is Q1 of 2020.

Will you consider supplying dimensions for the pcb, and plate files, so that those of us who want 7u wkl are able to get it?
Either way, definitely interested! Beautiful board

If they became public an someone decided to get a 7u going for this I'd 100% be in on that... That's really the only thing that this board is missing.. The logo I can deal, but being a wkl7u boi, I was really going to miss my wkl + long spacebar haha

Hopefully!

Some stabs use/come with different dimensions for the wire (thinner/thicker and longer/shorter on the right angle sections).  Retooled GMK stab wires don't fit in my zeal stabs, for example.

Been looking into this keyboard more, and I was wondering if there will be an option to purchase an extra PCB, as I think I'll be using this keyboard for a looooong time (until my wallet recovers at least).

Yep. I think it would be good for switching builds and I hate desoldering.

maybe a split left shift option? [Y/N]
what am I thinking is that ISO users like me won't miss a key. I do like ANSI enter though. This is just a suggestion, I don't want to ruin the design but maybe some people will like an ANSI keyboard with the left split shift, and ISO users still has that key.

Is the anodization color and the metal finish going to be separate options from one another? (Will I be able to choose black anodization with polished stainless steel finish for the accents?)

I think by default, it will come with polished stainless steel. Then you can order the black accents as an add-on

It should be a while before the GB is ready right? The 2nd round of prototypes is still coming in?

Sometime in Q1 is the expected date.
That’s a long range, but as it’s technically Q1 now you could get excited and hope every day that today is the day it comes for the next 11 weeks or so.

Personally I’m thinking later in the quarter rather than earlier, assuming no issues with prototypes etc.

I'm guessing March 2020.

Is this 2nd batch supposed to be the final round of prototypes?  I'm also a thinking that this would happen after the Dawn GB which I think was supposed to be February 2020.

How about ISO?
As with the above, I've opted not to include ISO support because of how it messes with the footprints for ANSI and as selfish as it sounds, this a design that is tailored to my personal preferences and is optimised for that.

gutting, i guess there's no easy solution to get around that without a compromise :( maybe ill have to look into something like doing a UK ANSI hybrid layout so it wouldn't be too much of leap and id still have the £ key

any ballpark group buy price based on what the manufacture has said?

This is actually a really good idea, and would love to see it. But I highly doubt at this stage its something that will be added unfortunately.

But looking forward to the GB either case, I ended up selling my 75% because it felt too compressed somehow and never cared for another 75% until now with the 7V.

I'll be placing the order for the final prototype today but it probably won't arrive until March due to the factories shutting winding down for the Chinese New Year break.

In the meantime, I'll be getting quotes for everything so that we can tally up final costs.

Sounds like GB potentially be in Q2 then. Did you manage to work out a hotswap PCB?
