Acrylic plates must be thick. But if you want to use plate mounted stabilizers like costar or cherry plate-mounted stabilizers, then the plate must be thin. The problem with thin acrylic is that they're very flimsy. At this point, you might as well not have a plate. It adds almost zero extra weight to the keyboard.

If available in Vietnam, you add the cost for the cases in the group buy, and lets do both CM Rapid and CM XT 104. Sounds good? Make it a GB for everybody, people with Filcos, CM, Rosewill's..... It wont be easy but you can make some dinero!!!

I think the language barrier is the issue.Hit the nail on the head!
If you order a Poker layout, that's exactly what you'll get, with the only option for Caps Lock being center-stemmed.
If you order a GH60-Poker layout, it's the same, except that the hole in the plate for the Caps Lock position is stretched, so that you can use either caps lock position (supported by the PCB).
I'm sorry to clutter up this thread with another question! Not surprisingly, it's GH-60 related.
On the new order form, there are two acrylic plate options: openable and non-openable.
Given that I don't want to mod these switches (building it as a gift), should I choose the non-openable plate?
Also, does using the acrylic plate mean I should get plate-mounted instead of PCB-mounted switches?
Will there be a 2nd round of this later? I haven't decided which GH60 I will be getting, also I'm kinda short on money, and GH60 will take some time to be readyI think round 2 will be after dealine GH60 payment
Personally, I did not get the openable switch plates. I have had issues with the top of the switch coming off when removing tight caps. I like how the fixed plates fits tighter against the side of the switch and doesn't allow the four "latches" to expand as easily and allow the top to come off.Then I guess you won't like any PCB mounted keyboard. I've never encountered that problem you explain, you have to make brute force to remove the top of the switch.

So is this going to take a special plate then? Seems to me that if I'm using The_Beast's plate, then there isn't any extra room for the acrylic. Unless I'm completely off-base, or missing something.

it's actually the PCB that matters. as long as the PCB supports PCB-mounted switches, u can use PCB-mounted switches.

If I am following this properly...
1. You can get the acrylic plate with openable or non openable switches (the notches)
2. Openable can only use cherry pcb mount stabilizers, while non openable can use plate mounted costar
3. You can use PCB or plate mounted seitches.

Up to OP. I asked for a version with a 2.5x block in each lower corner, letting me use a Poker board (or ANSI GH60) with a 1.25 - 6.25 - 1.25 - 1.25 bottom row. Swap CAPS/Cntrl-L and map Win-R to CAPS and there is Alt-Space-Fn-Caps on the bottom row and Ctrl-L under Tab.

2. Remove PCB from case by unscrewing 6 screws.
3. Desolder all LEDs and remove.
4. Desolder all switches and remove from PCB.
5. Mount switches in acrylic plate.
6. Install mounted switches onto spacer plate.
7. Mount this assembly onto PCB, and solder all switches.
8. Replace all LEDs, and solder.
9. Stack layers together, insert screws and bolt together.
Done!

The steel plate replaces the acrylic plate, which sits on top of the middle layer/spacer plate, which sits on top of the PCB! :D

I don't know if this has already been asked but will this case work with the new Poker 2?Yep, but you will have to do one of two things. 1 desolder and re solder with the plate that comes with it, or 2 shift the layers of the plate lower and make screw holes in the acrylic for your mounting points (and hope it doesn't give...) At least this all makes sense in my head... :p

I do have a question. Is there a tutorial anywhere about transplanting a Vortex Pure into a case like this? I cannot seem to find one.
Would that be difficult?
1. Remove keycaps.
2. Remove PCB from case by unscrewing 6 screws.
3. Desolder all LEDs and remove.
4. Desolder all switches and remove from PCB.
5. Mount switches in acrylic plate.
6. Install mounted switches onto spacer plate.
7. Mount this assembly onto PCB, and solder all switches.
8. Replace all LEDs, and solder.
9. Stack layers together, insert screws and bolt together.
Done!

I asked what was the ship date so I know what 2-3 weeks frame I should be receiving it but he never responded =X
My case arrived today, panic mode concluded. Now I just need some GH60 goodness to put inside. I also didn't expect any layers of the acrylic to be glued together, I figured the screws would do all the work holding it together. Mine came with a second plate that was the exact same as an entire plate layer instead of the smaller plate the fits into the grooves inside. I'm not sure that I have any use for it, but one small corner piece that had a cut out for the USB cable to go was broken.
What kind of glue is good to reattach a small piece of acrylic?

Received mine yesterday.
I do have to say ordering a clear top / bottom was a horrible idea. The glue was applied very poorly, as others have stated, which ruins the entire look of the case.
Will be forced to modify it since the glue has essentially rendered it useless.
