The head isn't center positioned if you look at it from bird's angle view. He pushed it a bit forward to make room for the cape, so yeah it's a little weird from that angle lol
I talked to girldc guys, we're still waiting for him to finalize the Storm Trooper design, it's still a work in progress, before we can get a GB going for that.

Agreed. I think there's all this clamour because we all know that whatever girldc caps come out, they're going to be amazing. I've really never seen a cap that I didn't like. They all look amazing and seem like they're really high quality (I've only seen pictures and don't own a cap so I can't speak to the quality in real life.).

Looks like it was taken with a Sony CyberShot. At least I think I can read "CyberShot" in reverse there. There is a bottle of Gatorade or similar on the desk, next to a small cup of (yogurt?). The monitor has an image of a Geekhack page open. There appears to be a clock hanging on the wall, maybe on a corner shelf? They are sold by GirlDC a Korean how manufactures them, they come up in Group Buy's occasionally, and theyre sold in the classifieds too, but generally at a markup.

I think that they are about 15-20% cheaper when bought directly from DrugEr or girlDC –by either filling the Korean form on://red-line.kr/ (which was used for the first Gundam series and prior) or an English language docs.google form (the case for the Unicorn Gundam and Zaku)– than from Techkeys. But so far I'm only aware of the Punisher and Whalebro being sold on Techkeys... others might have gone by too fast for me to notice them.the most expensive should be black darth vader, $160 before shipping....
Ordering: I don't know about the previous keycaps (it's possible that the early ones weren't even announced on Geekhack at all), but for the Gundam Unicorn and Zaku they made a group buy thread (http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=43323.0) in their subforum and everything was announced as it happened, and went very nicely for me, with tracking number and email communication by girlDC.
The base price for a keycap varies by complexity (Tym is pretty much spot on with the range), and increases when bi-color and tri-color options are offered, or when a pair of cubic zircons (first Gundam series) or a gemstone (Zaku) is socketed in the keycap. My tri-color Unicorn Gundam was USD 130+25 shipping. If I remember correctly the original Gundam in black and gold with cubic zircons was 155, probably the most expensive yet. But don't climb on your horse yet, (again if I remember correctly reading this whole thread) the majority of the keycaps so far have remained priced under $100.The key is depressed? Awww, poor key. Send it over to me and I'll cheer it up :)

The most expensive is the DV.haha... i have to agree that the ironman made by girldc is the best amongst others....
Unless you are talking the rugged ironman.....which is a different story.

Did you use that punisher as a escape key? I have not seen other Girldc caps quite as affected. I hope it is just the gold caps to which this happens. It seems GirlDC was quite puzzled by it as well.
Personally I tend to actually use my novelty keycaps, and my escape and F-keys are get frequent use. Would be such a bummer if I can only use my Girldc keycaps on print screen and scroll lock.

I do have the old metal trooper in black though (Suppose to have two but one got lost in the mail)
but I thought there will be new colors coming (camo), which I'm pretty sure there will be.... and it interest me...

Sadly the flower didn't survive his first press, one stem fell off :( luckily he still sits fine :)

Got my storm troopers yesterday and my GDC collection is starting to grow!
I was drooling over them ever since Ive seen prototypes on KBDLab and now in my possesion I can honestly say they're better than I thought.Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/mfjGokn.jpg)

The black one has a dark grey tone to the color, it would have been better darker for the general mass but just right for my needs.
The white one is a milky white, not too bright of a color, just right for the color scheme.
The red one is misleading... under bright light it looks pink but while shaded it looks like it's dark red.

He claims he gives each a finishing touch after receiving them from the manufacturer.
And as expected... the detail in GDC's work is apparent even in his plastic line, a solid piece of artwork.Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/L0L2lGJ.jpg)
The black trooper is a perfect color match with GMK Dolch(Special thanks to ZEAL) and the casing on the 660c(Nova mod).
Considering MX stems on the Novatouch sliders are a bit looser than original cherry's stems, the troopers give a snug fit.
So I expect the them to be a tight fit on MX switches.
I dont have the OG metallic trooper so its hard to make a comparison between the two, but thats next on my list ;)
Hopefully more members here can get their hands on these troopers from retailers in the states or GDC's website (coming soon!).
