Not sure if you've made a review before, but I'm curious about how the Royal Kludge compares to genuine Topre switches. What do you think?
I didn't use it long enough to write a proper review, and I'm too lazy to pull it out of the box to do so (which is also the reason why I'm leaving the gold springs in huehuehue). I can say that the 55g Kludge != 55g Realforce, the RF is snappy/responsive, the Kludge was... sludge, as-in it felt mushy. It didn't tire my fingers out either like the RF did, so I relate it more to a 45g Realforce. The keycaps were dumpster-tier (and I didn't bother putting the rainbow PBT set on it that I had ordered for it), and the o-rings were a bad idea (hence why I removed them) because they made the keyboard sound "twangy" and reduced key travel by 1/6thish (very noticeable), but the RGB lighting and programming software were good value for the price. I do believe it is possible to swap true Topre domes into the board, but it was going to require too much work for me to do (some cutting is necessary) and I'd already lost interest in the TKL form factor betime the keyboard arrived so I just decided to move on from it.
The board has some potential, and a couple months ago I would have worked to try and realize it, but I'm pretty much done board hunting at this point so I'd rather spend my time doing something else.
