I really don't get why people are so caught up with potential "flipping" for this board.
First of all, there were more than 250 individuals interested in this board -- that is a fact.
If each person were to get only one board, it is almost guaranteed that the flip market would have FEWER boards and thus result in higher aftermarket prices. After all, some people just want the board because they actually want it.
Since people were allowed to buy 2 boards each, mechmarket will have many more boards up for sale (yes, from flippers), but the price would be LOWER since there would be more boards that people are trying to sell!
So, to those who are bummed they missed out and salty that people could purchase 2 boards each, at least you will be able to get them on mechmarket for a lower price than if you missed the group buy and units were limited to just one per person. And of course, you'd have a higher chance of getting a board from mechmarket too since there would be more boards purchased for the intention of flipping. More boards to flip = more boards available ASAP on mechmarket = higher chance you can find a board if you didn't get in the first 2 rounds.
Remember that just in the first few minutes of original form going up, more than 300 responses were submitted. As with the nature of group buys, lots of people will miss out. Let's say theoretically the board was limited to 1 per person. Chances are, you'd probably be unable to get a board either. There would be only 70 extra spots, and given the massive hype for this board, 70 is not all that much. For those who did miss out, you'd be paying higher prices aftermarket for this board (if it were limited to 1 per person) than if it were limited to up to 2 units per person. So y'all, look on the bright side.
