The design looks blocky, busy, and disjointed all at the same time. Not my cup of tea personally. I think you had similar feedback for Iron, but Iron had a theme to it. I'm not sure where you're trying to go with this design. It reminds me of Lustro which also looks blocky, jagged, and odd.

It looks alright. I don't care for the shiny finish; I would rather have a matte finish. Also I'm not a huge fan of the funky side feet so if they are for aesthetic purposes only, I think I might be interested.

Is it heresy to say that LZ has lost "it" recently with the past 2 designs? My wallet is safe for now.

The chrome/stainless look irritated me a little but but if you offer dark anodizing (Black/gunmetal/dark grey) count me in for one!

i'm not a big fan of those feet and diffuser.

I would join if there is some normal feet and no diffuser option for me.

The Iron had a theme behind it, and it did fit the theme well, but this seems like it does not have have one and it seems like it does not fit anywhere. It just looks off imho.
I wish you experimented more with layouts rather than with designs. I mean it is great that you realized that a lot of the custom TKL's look almost alike, and that there needs to be some kind of change, but I don't think that your current design hits the spot for many of us here.

Let's hope your next board blows us all away  :thumb:

I liked Iron for the theme (and still bummed I missed out on it). This one has lines going everywhere and way too much LED though, feels like what it would look like if Razer or Corsair got into high-end kustom keyboards.

I think if the diffuser was a thin strip all around rather than a giant block on sides/back, and if the side legs were lower profile and skinnier (or even put into the main body), it would look cleaner.

I like it. Its good to see some actual unique keyboards around here. I like the design a lot just like ive liked the last 2 that LZ has done. LZ IRON and LZ ERGO are both fresh, good designs and I am sad that I missed out on LZ IRON.

Even though ive said this before and didnt come thru: I would buy this!

LZ if you could make a full-sized keyboard with 104 keys then I would buy this polished wonder with ease  8) .

Haven't got a polished metal keyboard yet, so please think about offering a larger keyboard here for the obsessed......

to be honest LZ,

one of my saddest things is I've joined to this hobby too late for your master piece works.

there's a couple of identity works came out from you recently.

I think this should be a good time to switch back to the classic one.

Always a GREAT time to get in one of his Group Buys because it shall go down in History as one of those rare and exceptional pieces like Jewellery created by a true craftsman.

PLUS he never let's you down under any circumstance, it's like waiting on delivery of a brand new Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG model which alone is quite fantastic.  The anticipation will be enormous but you will never be disappointed with his work.

The feet is a little loud and the non-anodized finish does make it a bit jarring; do you have sample that's anozided in a dark color? I think that would hide some of the jagged-ness of it.  :thumb:

Also, what's the total height of the keyboard with the feet?

I wouldn't say you should go back to the old designs and not fulfill your creative potential if you want to experiment. I just think people here prefer classy slim designs and see their boards more like fine mechanical watches, which get more precious the more complications they have. But like the Rolex Gauss (some ppl go nuts for them) it can get wild too. This reminds me more of a Breitling, which can look good on Schwarzenegger, but not on wrists of thin asian.

Agreed. If I didn't have a Lustro on the the way, I'd be totally down for this design. But since they're pretty similar with the side brackets, I'm going to have to pass on this one.

This comment stood out to me comically, have you ever owned one?  I have a friend who has put ~50k miles on his from factory new and it has been a nightmare from 25k up.  The tread on the standard tires was comically weak too (replaced them at dealership to spec and they burnt through again and again), the brake sensors and pressure sensors, as well as the suspension has had various pricey issues, and overall the look of a long black coupe is iffy at best (read: not super approachable or usable, even if cool to look at in pictures).

Don't get me wrong, it's a crazy cool car, but at the same time, it seems like a perfect comparison - there's just a weirdness about it despite no disputes over the pedigree of brand or care of the design.

The more I look at this, the more it's grown on me. I think the unanodized pictures are part of the reason for the negative response, dark anodization would probably tone down the jarring effect of the angles a bit.

I also believe that the fact that it's not anodized is the reason it's getting so much negativity. When you really look at it is not some super wild design. Can't wait to see more.

I think this design is pretty. The feet design is unique, and caught my eyes. The side panel for lighting somehow remains me about ... the backlight on a ps4 dualshock controller. Up till now, I still don't know what that light bar could do, but it is a good place to put on some decoration. I really like the idea of having some lighting effect on side, but I am not a big fan about RGB lighting around the whole case. My own thought is that if the light diffusion plate can be swap into a metal plate, but still have acrylic component on side for the side lighting effect, I would definitely like it. The metal plate can add some decoration effect to the front and back side of the case, while the lighting on the feet remains. This is only my own thought, and I know this will be pricy, so never mind pls forget what I am mubbling herre

Haven't bought a Merc for years mainly stick with much older branded cars like ancient Valiants, Landcruisers and Chev's which can be customized to my own preferences.

Thought that the current CL65 AMG was all Made in Germany but unfortunately I was wrong, it's all made from imported parts from around the world hence the problems they are currently having. Always buy from a manufacturer who makes his product within ONE country.

Maybe I should of said a Porsche 911 because my other half's brother, just laid money down for a brand new 2017 model which is still being Made in Germany from all original parts not imported from anywhere else.

Who told you that crap? The car salesman? Porsche is part of VW and participates in their global supply chain. Maybe they still make their own powertrain (as does AMG most likely) but as soon as it comes to smaller parts, electronics and hidden parts, you will find stuff from - at least - all over Europe. VW is a lot more international than MB.

Many of the transmissions found in Porsches are actually made by ZF, Cherrys former parent company. Shifting gears is feeling veeeeery scratchy with newer models though ;)

He was told that but since all Porsche models have that particular feeling when new, the transmission needs to be worked in then eventually becomes much smoother just like any Ferrari model.  If you want a smooth transmission then far better get a Rolls Royce or Bentley model because these type of cars are built to go down to the shops everyday, whilst the Porsches are built for race tracks.

Will get a chance next year to try out his Model first hand, so it'll be a treat to see and feel a current Porsche Car pushed to it's limits.  My old Valiant's could never keep up with his future car under any circumstance.

Oh don't take that last part I said too seriously, I was just mocking the complaint about newer Cherry switches being so scratchy and applied it to the parent companies automatic transmissions ;)

I've got the second car with a ZF transmission in it an both were just absolutely flawless and a pleasure to drive.

Just don't assume Porsche to be any better than the other German luxury brands. The Cayenne is currently being built in Bratislava (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Bratislava_Plant)

Just don't assume Porsche to be any better than the other German luxury brands. The Cayenne is currently being built in Bratislava (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Bratislava_Plant)

The main thing here is that this particular company still makes it's cars within it's own borders, still making it essentially an all German Made vehicle.

In the old days most cars were made within their own borders which now makes them highly desirable.  Only good things happen when something is made by one country instead of relying upon foreign manufacturers to produce something of value.  When they all went global the quality and finish all went down the drain.

Who knows what will happen with the likes of Porsche when some management goon decides it's great cost savings having people in the 3rd world being paid $2.00 a day, to produce vital gear to be used in the braking, suspension or drive train of a future model of 911.  Suspect most current owners would buy up all the older models when that occurs because the company would then be a laughing stock amongst the well heeled.

LZ is in control of his production facility in Korea hence only great things are done and distributed.  If he decides to start sending stuff to be done in mainland China watch the disappointed faces of all the Keyboards Addicts when that occurs, suddenly all his previous, older keyboards become highly desirable.
