I mean if anyone REALLY needs it I could transfer my order (champagne top and bottom, brass plate, total of $380) because for me it's more or less just a fun build and I don't really want to flip it later for an insane amount of money to desparate people. I will be happy with the upcoming Fjell that will stay with my until my dying breath

Personally I think a brass plate is more trouble than it's worth, especially with how dirty keyboard plates tend to get.

Eh my plates don't get dirty. But, brass tarnishes. You can clean it very well and varnish it which will keep it nice around 10 years. Probably long enough.

What would you varnish it with? I had a thought about spray-painting it clear, but not sure if it will ruin the appearance. Cleaning around all the switches will not be an easy task if you use a cleaning solution that requires rubbing it into the brass--don't want to get any into the switches.

There's probably a million of em around, but a lacquer designed for brass. Google should help. I've researched it before, but never pulled the trigger on a brass plate so I don't have specifics right now.

I just got the Mirror Polished Brass + Brushed Brass switch plate samples. They look amazing.

I think we might do something a little extra to them to make them extra smooth + shiny.

Soware for space gray or silver, terminal for black. I have issue when all gray caps are a different gray than the case. Soware has contrast so it wouldn't bother me but terminal would on space gray

Dcs toxic or troubled minds are the two im thinking. Kind of depends on how each profile looks on the board.

Very excited for my order. Went with the space grey and nylon base + brass plate + extra matte black base. Currently plan on throwing my SA Carbon with orange alphas on it but if the greys clash to much I also have SA penumbra and hyperfuse incoming and will figure out a good mix and match. Also already have a pack of mod-m's waiting for this. Going to be my first build so i really can't wait to start this

I think carbon will look just fine. I have a feeling cherry profile is gonna look better on this board.

There wasn't a flash used in this picture, it was just a basic photo with Instagram editing tools added (brightness up, shadows down, etc.)
