Oh no! Caught some mistakes. Was too hyped.
Here are my adjustments for the set from the render:
1. Remove block X backspace for R1 1U
2. Change the menu icons to "Menu" Word.
3. Change F5-F8 to lighter grey.
4. Add cyan insert
5. Add 6U to both spacebars kits.
Other than that, I've read the comments about the pink spacebar, but I think the MoQ pricing might turn people off to offer both of them, and then struggle to meet MoQ if we offer 3 kits or so with the color variations. We can offer it in a future round
. My thinking is this: if 1 kit offers 6 spacebars, it might deter people. But if we offer them separately (basically 4 child kits), each kit will struggle to meet MoQs.
I hope you can all agree with me here. But I'm just going to keep it as us, and offer 6U spacebars with every base kit.
Have you considered alternate light gray F5-F8? And just curious why"9009" gets pink insert but the other color kit doesn't get a corresponding key? I might use it on a 96key layout.
Woops. We'll change the alternative light Gray f5-f8.
for the insert key, I don't think it's necessary, but we'll offer it to match the kits
Aren't the f1-f4 and f9-f12 supposed to be the light gray ones (and the f5-f8 remain dark)?
Also, is there any chance that we can get the esc/enter/space accent keys in four separate kits of each color? For example, instead of the blue/purple kit, we get one kit with all blue esc/enter/space keys and one kit with all purple esc/enter/space keys.
And row 5 mods, we need row 5!
For the esc/enter/space etc, that's a little insane to put into the base kit. We'll basically have at least 16 spacebars in a kit. The goal of the this build is to have two accents off of gray, which is what I think would help push this set. Having 4 child kits would be bonkers, read my above statement.
As far as row 5 goes. I've considered it, and the number of people who would prefer row 4 with the pricing outweigh getting the extra row 5 for the extra money. I'm counting 23 R4 keys in the base kit, and that would put in an extra delta of at least $15.00. A big argument can be made that we should just include a wider international kit compatibility with this extra cost, but then we have ANSI users making a fit about the extra cost for keys they'll never use.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm all about giving people the keys they want, but we have to compromise and I think this is a good middle ground. Hope I didn't sound stern!
Have a good day!
